They whistled at the staffers, all of them black, tugged their clothing and pulled their caps askew. I thought that in today’s South Africa, whites had to be very careful of blacks. Is this a man bites dog story? It reads like historical fiction of the 19th century Deep South.

This article is total bunk. Whites in SA are being exterminated. Apartheid was wrong, and I’d wish that when SA became a Republic, they should have simply given existing blacks equal rights and tightened immigration laws. But that doesn’t give blacks a licence to expunge whites.
The LA Slimes is just setting up cover to have an explanation ready for why the remaining whites are killed or driven out, just like in Zimbabwe. It’s all because the whites were racists, you see. . . .

Total Bunk. To be white or a foreigner is dangerous in SA.
SA needs another thousand years of Apartheid. SA Blacks admit that they were better off under that so-called, “racist” system.
In fact, I can think of quite a few other countries that could use another few hundred years (or more) of colonialism, in order to become civilized and self-supporting.
Such a program would also be good for places like Detroit, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Chicago, as well.

The problem with colonialism is that while it lifted one group of natives over others (in order to assist with administration), it never “Westernized” enough of the population so that when the colonizers eventually left, somebody could administer the schools, hospitals, government, military, etc. for the whole new country. Pockets of modernization would remain, but the large remainder of the former colony would eventually devolve into what it had been when the Europeans first arrived.
Friends have described this in Kenya, Nigeria, and in this case, South Africa. The infrastructure outside of certain pockets simply crumbles and developed land reverts to nature. Zimbabwe is an extreme case, but when you realize they had fed much of the continent as Rhodesia and are now importing food while nature reclaims those farms, the future certainly looks grim. Black radicals didn’t just chase out whites; they beat and abused the black workers on those farms and production ground to a halt. Today, the biggest export of most former colonies is resentment, regret, and bitterness.
As a poster upthread wrote this propaganda is aimed at white conservatives in America, they could care less what happens in Africa. FTR there might be plenty of racial bigotry in the RSA but when I was there the relations between blacks and whites was one of exaggerated politeness to ease interactions. Also much in SA is first world even better than what we have, but like here it is a race to the bottom to see who can lose first and call it “Equality.”
