Past Bush immigration remarks shock conservatives
CNN ^ | 2/5/15 | Alexandra Jaffe

During a "Family Reunion" conference hosted by the Hispanic Leadership Network in April 2013, Jeb Bush spoke freely on the promise immigrants hold for America and his views on reform.

He said, during a discussion with Univision, that it was "ridiculous" to think that DREAMers, children brought to the U.S. by their parents illegally, shouldn't have an "accelerated path" to citizenship.

Then, the former Florida governor was speaking to a friendly audience of establishment Republicans, after re-inserting himself in the immigration reform with the release of a controversial book on the issue a month prior.

But as he moves towards a probable presidential run, and the far less friendly terrain of the GOP primary fight, the comments, which were shared with CNN by Democratic tracking firm American Bridge, are certain to deepen already developing headaches for him — on both the left and especially the right, as conservatives react in a mixture of bewilderment and eye-rolling when confronted with some of Bush's resurfaced lines on immigration.

"I've never felt like the sins of the parents should be ascribed to the children, you know," Bush said in 2013. "If your children always have to pay the price for adults decisions they make — how fair is that? For people who have no country to go back to — which are many of the DREAMers — it's ridiculous to think that there shouldn't be some accelerated path to citizenship."

His most outrageous remark was that breaking our immigration laws is an “act of love.” Anyone who contributes to this open borders supporter is an enemy of America. We should demand to know who is funding his campaign.

Given a choice between Jeb and Hillary, I will vote for the Libertarian or write in Cruz/Palin. If we’re going to keep Amnesty and Obamacare, it doesn’t matter which one we get stuck with - time to “go Galt”.

Why should anyone be surprised?

Leftists ALWAYS telegraph their punches. They TELL you, to your face, what they intend to do, knowing full well that the Right doesn’t pay attention.

Then when they actually land a punch, the Right seems so shocked.

And the Dauphin is a Leftist.

I call them Quisling traitors. Period.

Time to stop dancing around the issue of our ongoing invasion by illiterate 3rd-Worlders, including tens of thousands of future Muslim jihad terrorists.

The elites who promote this invasion should have the QUISLING TRAITOR sign tied around their necks. They are trading votes and cheap labor for their own children’s futures.

I know I rail about Ted Cruz being bought by the puppet masters but Jebby? Even more so. The scary thing about Jeb is that you can’t see who owns him quite as readily.

I find the thought of a Bush Presidency terrifying. I’m too old to buy my island and move offshore (also way too poor, but I digress lol), but if it comes down to Hildabeast and Bush I may just take out a loan.

If Bush actually used the “Dreamers” word, he is a Democrat.

It would be very nice if a viable third-party ticket emerged. The third parties are on the ballot, but they never seem to get serious about a winning strategy.

It's time. I wonder if Rand Paul wouldn't get a plurality in more than a few states if he did that, with a wise VP choice.

The MSM is actually attempting to rehabilitate brother W’s reputation by reporting his improving popularity in polls, so they obviously agree.

Jeb also once said he was the first “latino” governor of Florida.

And on his voter registration form, he applied writing that he was a “latino”
