Mona Walter is on a mission. Her mission is for more Muslims to know what is in the Koran. She says if more Muslims knew what was in the Koran, more would leave Islam.
Walter came to Sweden from Somalia as a war refugee when she was 19. She says she was excited about joining a modern European nation with equal rights for women. But as a young Muslim woman, that was not the Sweden she encountered.
A Real Introduction to Islam
It was in Sweden that she first experienced radical Islam on a daily basis.
"I discovered Islam first in Sweden. In Somalia, you're just a Muslim, without knowing the Koran. But then you come to Sweden and you go to mosque and there is the Koran, so you have to cover yourself and you have to be a good Muslim."
Walter says she grew up in Somalia never having read the Koran.
"I didn't know what I was a part of. I didn't know who Mohammed was. I didn't know who Allah was. So, when I found out, I was upset. I was sad and I was disappointed," she recalled.

Most Muslims I have met have memorized as much of the Koran as possible. It isn’t a case on not knowing, that is a problem more endemic to several branches of Christendom.
Her native country situation sounds analogous to how Christendom got comfortable coasting along on the laurels of Christianized countries. It was assumed a religious patina meant the same thing as purposed devotion.
In her case, finding the real McCoy meant understanding it and bidding it goodbye. It is to be hoped that when Christians find the real McCoy they will welcome it more than the ersatz superficiality that preceded it.
The only “reform Islam” is to reject Mohammed’s cult and return to the Jewish or Christian traditions of the Bible.

I have always believed this: A Muslim’s moderation is INVERSELY proportional to his knowledge and seriousness of the teachings of the Koran and the Hadiths.
The more seriously he takes the Koran and the Hadiths, the more EXTREME he becomes. The more ignorant and less serious he is with the Koran, the less EXTREME he becomes.
This tells me that most Muslims are ignorant of what the Koran and Hadiths really teaches.
Which to me, is a good thing.
I pray for this brave woman’s safety. It is very sad that she not only has to worry about being safe from Muslims who hate her, but from “tolerant” Swedish leftists who want to criminalize free speech.
Maybe the only good Muslim is a bad Muslim.
A bad Muslim is OK with people of other religions, treats women decently, doesn’t care what his neighbor drinks or if he eats pork, hates the idea of Shariah law...... you sorta get the picture.

Don’t forget, her speech is likely “unnecessarily inflammatory”, as the Progressive would bleat.
