By “state” he means the department of education, not law enforcement. If their state is like mine, the department of education investigates only in cases of maltreatment of a student, usually by a teacher.
Not agreeing that the video wasn’t harmful for kids to see, but as this wasn’t done to the students by a teacher nor did a teacher make the students watch the video, the department of education has no jurisdiction. Law enforcement, however, does.
The only reason this makes the news is that it was filmed at school. There are videos/pictures of students like this almost everyday in every school in every state. Think your kids’ school is different? Think again.

While I am thinking, I think you need to back up a statement like yours with some fact and until so I say you are wrong
Talk to high school students. It is shockingly common. Yes, I used hyperbole, but the only part would be “every day “. I know for a fact that every school in my county deals with this once someone tells a teacher. They don’t always tell a teacher. I know people who work at schools and people who work in the restaurant industry with area teenagers. It happens more than you could imagine.

9th graders are 14. I was 14 the first time I drank and made out with a boy. Sad but true. I did change my ways the next year as I realized I didn’t want to go down that path. Every thing is happening younger and younger.y husband is a middle school teacher. We homeschool our kids and he is willing to lose his job rather than place them in school.
