Yes, Mr. McDowell is the spokesdope for the Indiana Department of Education.

McDowell is just a spokesman so removing him won’t change anything but that answer is exactly why the state needs to step in.

McDowell is the spokesman for the state.

Either it's the state's official policy that watching sex acts in school is a harmless entertainment ... or McDowell made that up and should, perhaps, be removed from his position before he further embarrasses the department.

This was becoming an issue a decade ago when I was teaching at an urban middle school, once phones with cameras became ubiquitous. Not new, not rare, in my estimation.

If you’ve ever seen that M.Night Shyamalan movie “The Village”, you’ll get an idea of what I really want to do with my family.

I had the same issue and had to re-read.

Transition was weak.

2 incidents.
One in NC, another in IN.

Tying them together ... perhaps trying to infer an epidemic.

You want to scare them with fake monsters and lock them behind a wall?

OK. Parents at a North Carolina middle school want an explanation...

The North Carolina middle school sex scandal comes as officials in Indiana’s Warren Township schools field complaints...

The Indiana Department of Child Services is now investigating the incident.

You really have to be on your toes to read this article. It intersperses the discussion throughout. I had to read it 3 times to realize that it is dealing with two different locales. The headline is misleading in that it talks about North Carolina, but the closing conclusions is about Indiana, implying that Indiana officials are investigating an incident in North Carolina.

Either they don't much teach journalism any more or their instruction falls way short.

LOL!
Not entirely, but let’s just say—shelter them from the enraged, psychotic society we live in.

We’re homeschooling fwiw.

Very seriously, I think we can do that, in a way. Raise your children with a lot of love and Faith and teach them discernment with a heavy dose of why and when they venture out they will be well armed to engage in the War against Satan. As I look back, it seems that was the recipe we roughly followed and it seems to have worked for the most part.

I hope to do just that.
We had a decent society for over a century plus (take out the civil and a few other scuffles).
Satan has taken over ever governmental institution and office. IMHO, we’re almost at the the end of days anyways.

I gotta admit I have wondered more than once if it ain’t the End. The behavior of our feral gummint makes me wonder at times if they know something we don’t. Like there is a killer asteroid coming so they think they will never have to suffer the repercussions of what they are doing.

Yes, it’s poorly written. But that’s what you get when “who, what, where, when and how” got replaced with “how does this make you feel?”. Some of the stories I see I could’ve written better myself whilst half drunk. And I know this because some of my best college papers were written after a shot or two of beam.

;^)

It further accelerated when “the love that dare not speak its name” became “the love that refuses to shut the f*ck up”.

Not to excuse the official responses, but school administrators may well be in a tough place, legally. If they seize the phones, they are now adults in possession of child pornography. If they notify parents of students not directly involved, they are violating privacy rights. And there is the public relations problem of “letting” jr high kids have sex while at school (I’m not saying this isn’t the main reason for their inaction—but since the introduction of laws, students’ rights and lawyers to the education scene, things don’t always make sense).

At 14 - I think this happens more often than we’d think...and it’s nothing new. The only difference is that now everyone has a video camera on their phones.

What I really love about that movie is when they open the "secret" box and reveal why they live the way they do...

Revealing a complete and utter recrimination of the hippie and sixties lifestyle...

Societal breakdown and what happens when you destroy the "establishment"...

My daughter got suspended for TWO weeks for pooring a drink on a bullies head!
But at least there were no teachers involved in the video shoot, right? Right?

Yes, they are, on both counts.

Both counts help to degrade humans and society. A degraded society of immoral people CANNOT be free, it MUST and will be Ruled by Tyranny.
