“We’re certainly not going to coordinate with a brutal dictator who’s massacred so many of his own citizens,” U.S. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters on Tuesday. “That’s just an absurd proposition. That’s certainly not going to happen.”

She was talking about Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“And—look,” Harf continued. “There’s nothing ideological about standing up and saying Bashar al-Assad has no place in the future of Syria. And we are not going to partner with a brutal dictator like that to defeat a terrorist organization.” …

You are partnering with Assad’s patron Iran to defeat IS(IS/IL). That is the same as partnering with Assad himself. Never mind how Iran massacres so many of its own citizens too.

Rather inconsistent of this regime, to say the least.

This is so painful to watch. Her boss breaks his leg and she wants to take center stage.

Maybe Assad should change his name to Mohammed Morsi.

Funny, that was Idiot Jimmy Carter's thinking regarding the Shah of Iran. A million dead bodies later, and Idiot Jimmy Carter still hasn't figured out what was wrong with his thinking.

Their moves make sense if you look at it from the viewpoint of reestablishing the caliphate.

Who are they installing to run Syria? Iran?

Hello liberals. Your folks are executing regime change in the Middle East.

Again. Remember Libya?

Maybe there’s a reason Benghazi was lied about, repeatedly?

Maybe several reasons?

“Rather inconsistent of this regime, to say the least.”

The only thing consistent about Zer0 is inconsistency itself.

Carter was always an ideologue, and he’s doubled down repeatedly the older he got.

Seriously???? When has any islamic state not needed a brutal dictator to keep even the slightest bit of piece??????

Erroneous thinking by us Westerners is that Islamic societies share fundamental root ideas with us, among them being this concept of "Equality."

Islamic societies do not share this concept. In fact, it is anathema to Islamic societies. The very idea of "equality" is anti-Islamic. In Islam, society is one giant unequal pecking order from the lowliest slave up to the King, then Mohammad , and finally Allah.

Piety and brutality determines where you fit in the Islamic Society pecking order, and if you are at the top of society, you will either be brutal, or you will be replaced because everyone will doubt your authority to rule. "Allah would not allow a weenie to rule us" an Islamic would say.

In Islam, Brutality is a measure of your legitimacy. If you aren't brutal, people will doubt you are the chosen servant of Allah.

Carter was always an ideologue, and he’s doubled down repeatedly the older he got.

He still has yet to grasp that his ideology is wrong, and produces bad results. He opposed the Shah because of the Shah's secret police who rounded up, tortured and killed dissenters.

In a 30 year period, the Shah's secret police executed about 3,000 dissidents. The Ayatollah Islamic nutbag government executed nearly 10,000 people that very first year.

The Iran/Iraq war (1 million dead.) Was the result of the Iranian government being destabilized. While Iran was a US Ally, Iraq would never have dreamed of attacking it, but once it became an enemy of the United States, Saddam turned his eyes eastward.

Carter was an absolute disaster, and his legacy of stupidity is still endangering and injuring the world to this very day. If Iran eventually uses a nuclear weapon to kill hundreds of thousands, if not millions, the fault will fall primarily on Barack the Stupid, but the best supporting actor prize goes to Jimmy the Dunce Carter.
