It is not “out military”. It is The CIC’s military. We have a living breathing constitution after all. The military will do as it has always done. Exactly what the CIC orders.
I imagine if you lived right next to the school in question, the grenade sims would be pretty loud, but a lot of this crap sounds like hyperbole from people who’ve never been around, seen, or heard any of it before.
You know, like the FReepers on this very thread who are convinced that a military takeover is imminent.

The involved troops are probably staying somewhere local unless they’re all being flown back to Selfridge at the end of the day.
Back in the early 70s when my uncle was in the NG they did one of these training exercises in the UP. He said they rented out an entire campground for a week.
I hope you are wrong too. However, the Civil War of the future will not be regional, but will be a battle of urban values vs. rural values all over most of the country. Urban has the numbers but Rural has the guns. The suburbs will lean either way depending upon the specific area (i.e. demographics and political persuasion). If the benevolent dictatorship of the left wins, rural areas will be made similar to the “savage reservations” imagined by Aldous Huxley in “A Brave New World.” In fact, many in our cities think of Americans in Flyover Country as nothing more than backward savages.
The individualism and freedom of the rural Right will not be tolerated.

There are millions of folks that ARE awake. Went to a couple of gun shows fairly recently. Cases and cases of ammo stacked up as you walked in.
Within an hour/half or so....gone! All calibers.
Folks aren't just standing around with their thumbs up their butts. They are preparing. All this is like the big ol elephant in the room. No one wants to really tawk too much bout it for fear of being labeled an Alex Jones conspiracy nut job.

Isn’t the oath of enlistment to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”? Obama couldn’t have replaced everyone with socialists and constitution-haters.
Mr Moore has several homes in Michigan, Torch Lake seems to be a favorite. None that I am aware of in Flint. Flint is very inhospitable.

I was stuck in Korea on TDY at the time Waco happened. We were limited in what we could get. At first, I was all for the govt. being there, because of what the news was saying about the cult.
Again, my access to information was limited. My opinion was biased against the Branch Davidians. That all changed when the compound went up in flames.
At that point, I knew we were in trouble. I had been mugged by proxy.
Whether it is imminent or not I do not want the military practicing on us. Recall in the early 50’s the government decided it would be fine to see how well a gas agent could be dispersed by infecting those in a subway tunnel without their knowledge. This government is out of control, period and needs reining in. Whether it is to practice for a foreign mission or to subdue the populace, who cares, it is WRONG. BTW, who decides when to send in the military to subpress one of these activities: during an armed revolt, a vocal demonstration, a strike...when and who? Do I want that insane dilusional jerk in the whitehouse making this determination....absolutely NOT.
