It's a popular refrain of Republican candidates when they're presented with the problem of illegal immigration: Secure the border with a fence.
But it's not a tune Chris Christie is singing.
The New Jersey governor said Tuesday he's against erecting a fence along the nearly 2,000 miles of U.S. border with Mexico as a way to stymie immigrants from illegally entering the country.

Fat, Drunk and Stupid is no way to go through life, how did he make it this far?
Stand Christie at the border. Illegals will have heart attacks and die trying to run far enough to get around him.
You couldn’t pay me to vote for this worthless SOB called Chris Christie.
And they sure as hell are not immigrants.
Our leaders have been given over to do things which don’t make sense to anyone with common sensibilities, they are reprobate, that is, being devoid of sound judgement and reason,
Its also why you and I can witness these things and wonder aloud, but we’re told straightway this would be the end result,
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Romans 1:28
I’m all for Christie to be confined by a belt.
That’s OK - he won’t get the chance anyway......
Another one on my list - the wrong list.
That a false proposition. Human and drug trafficking across the Mexican border is not evenly distributed, nor could it be. Instead, the vast majority takes places along relatively narrow corridors. Block these corridors with fence and patrols, and illegal immigration is reduced about 60%.
From that point, further reductions are most cost effective when potential immigrants believe the trip is either too hard, or there is nothing waiting for them here. That is, no jobs, no freebies, and deportation if they are caught.
Combined with real punishment for businesses who hire illegal aliens, and there would be about a 75% reduction in illegal aliens crossing the border.
And those businesses who want to hire non-Americans would increase their lobbying to stop it, coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce.
So, instead of providing for the physical security of the physical borders of the United States against invasion, he proposes to put every American citizen in a federal database and require them to get permission from the government to work and earn their daily bread.
Hey didn’t his biggest supporter just write a book about illegals?
He’s a bully in a state filled with wimps.

So do his FR fan club. Who now fawn over Walker. Who was for illegals before he was against them AND legal immigrants.
you can’t tell the players without a scorecard...
I like Walker, far more than I like Perry. But you’re right, he has had a major flip-flop on amnesty. Unlike Ricardo Perrinista however, he does say he opposes amnesty. Perry is on record as saying he supports it. Heck, Perrinista has a long history if supporting ILLEGALs and criticizes those who disagree with his insanity.
Ann Coulters dream candidate.....
