I wonder if anyone religious has ever tried suing atheists for harassment by violating their First Amendment rights to freedom of religion?

Just an odd thought...

Teaching their kid to be a good little Nazi, eh?

He thinks that everyone in the school has to do it his way, or else. And he wonders why they object to his demands.

What kind of person complains about praying in the name of Jesus?

"...the prayers represent a “serious and flagrant affront” to the First Amendment. "

So Congress made a law establishing a religion?
Did Congress prohibit the free exercise religion?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; - 1st Amendment

A Jew. But we would be happy to pray together
to the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

"Just an odd thought..."

Well, there's another thought that could go with that one.

What if the coach (or teacher, or principal etc.) were a Muslim and was trying to influence the kids to see the universe his way?

The ACLU will prevail at the very first court level and every appeal.

Even the most isolated and dumb know this is prevented by current legal interpretation.

And the School Board that hired the Principal, who hired the coach etc. and allowed this to continue is most certainly aware they will not prevail.

And, if they want to spend their taxpayers money to fight this certainly losing battle, that'll be between them and the voters.

As a football team in high school (1983-1986) we said the Lords Prayer before each game and went to the Church the morning of each game.

I guess I should be traumatized and entitled to lawsuit cash...??

One who wants to join ISIS and pray to Allah (Satan)

Student-initiated and student-led prayers to God, Allah, Buddha, et al., are fine by me, but no administrator should be initiating or leading any prayers to any deity. Sure, most of the time the prayers are not offensive and are to the dominant deity in the community, but really how would you feel if you lived in a community that was predominantly Muslim or whatever.

It’s time to sue on the basis that the banning of prayer is prohibiting the free exercise of religion in violation of the First Amendment.

Jim and Nichole Bellar filed the lawsuit over the prayers at events in the River Forest Community School Corp. after they say their son was ostracized after raising objections

Why are these people so afraid of the cross? Are they people who want to force their will on everyone else?
