>>By the People: Rebuilding Liberty Without Permission.”<<

Damn...I like how that sounds.

There was a bit of civil disobedience in 1776, partly owing to:

“He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.”

Civil disobedience will stick in the craw of conservatives who revere law and order.

But what choice is there when the law(s) has become ridiculous, incomprehensible, and onerous?

Civil disobedience is, by and large, a good thing. Emphasis on the word “civil.” See Rosa Parks, prohibition, and many other examples.

And now these solons are going to decide for the rest of us what marriage is. Who the f**k gave them that authority?

It’s in the Spring edition of Cato’s Letter, from CATO Institute.

I do revere law and order. But the laws should make sense and not be stupid and petty. But a HUGE requirement is that the law should apply to EVERYONE not just the little people. Politicians and big business should be held to the SAME standard as everyone else.

Either civil disobedience or “Henry Bowman”.

Actually, that time arrived long ago.

Power derives from the governed. If we do not concede that power, the government has little ability to take it from us.

Look at what Gandhi accomplished in India using the same principle.

Ballots before Bullets

Political change takes a lot of time...

The Revolutionary war was decades in the making...

We will have a second CW II, not in my lifetime, but one is coming...

I disagree with the premise "Civil disobedience will stick in the craw of conservatives who revere law and order" too. There are few people, and most of them busybodies (a class that is majority liberals), who find that literally ALL laws and regulations must be followed, or else chaos ensues.

To me, "law and order" means a civil society, one where property rights are protected, and unjustified physical violence is punished. That renders the vast majority of rules and regulations disposable, not worthy of respect, etc.

One might recall that OSHA and the EPA were phased in by Richard Nixon, who does not have the reputation of being a Progressive or a New Dealer.

Seems we've been trying that for decades, and the situation is only getting worse.

ESPECALLY CONGRESS AND THE BUROCRACEY, WELCOME TO OBAMA CARE PELOSI and FRIENDS!

Want to change this, make the Princes play by the same rules and suffer the same penalties.

We have a two tier nation, two Americas, consisting of the liberal elite vs we Morlocks.

D’Souza gets thrown in jail while Hillary’s money laundering machine is alive and well.

Tea Party organizations are persecuted by the IRS, while rich Democrats don’t bother to pay taxes.

Conservatives are hounded out of office for moral failures, but for Democrats the same moral failures are resume enhancers.

Two Americas, indeed.
