The street artist behind the iconic “Hope” poster of then-candidate Barack Obama says the president has let him down.
In an interview with Esquire, Shepard Fairey said President Obama has not lived up to the expectations of the image that captured the verve behind Obama’s 2008 run. In fact, Fairey said, he’s “not even close.”
“Obama has had a really tough time, but there have been a lot of things that he’s compromised on that I never would have expected. I mean, drones and domestic spying are the last things I would have thought [he’d support],” he told Esquire.

Keep in mind that Shepard Fairy is complaining that Obama is not far enough Left...
Warren and Sanders have a pretty good chance of being Democrat nominees.
... The problem with worshiping a man who you think actually is and that set himself up as a god is that .... you quickly find out that he isn’t ..... and your stuck with him for 8 freaking years.

The artist is not terribly bright. I expected Obama to be a divisive failure, and I don’t see how any sensible person could have expected anything else.
WTF does Mr. Fairey care? He made plenty of bank on his association with Obama and his appropriated artworks continue to sell out.

Irony of ironies, he was hired by a paperback publisher to come up with the covers for two anti-Commie novels (1984 and Animal Farm).
