A leading scientific journal on Thursday retracted a highly publicized study reporting that attitudes toward same-sex marriage could be altered by brief face-to-face conversations with people who have a stake in the issue.
The study, published by the journal Science in December, came under question this month when a pair of graduate students trying to follow up on the work found evidence that the data had been misrepresented.
The studys senior author, Donald P. Green, a prominent political scientist at Columbia University, asked that the study be retracted.....

The retraction is new. The graduate student is doubling down on his lies. (His resume was full of fabrications, as well.) The graduate student’s academic career is over. Hope he has a chauffeur’s license.

The graduate student is a symptom. That he got this fraud past his faculty adviser and into a prominent scientific journal is more troubling. Most of what appears in scientific journals is false.

Actually, scientific fraud is surprisingly rare, given the incentives and opportunities to commit it. Now, sloppy research designs and inappropriate methods of analysis are much more common.
More propaganda neutered by the truth.
If you know these gay/lesbian things, why all the gay / lesbian transgendered perversion posts on FR? To an outsider, one would think FR is a gay community with the constant barrage of these threads.
