Insisting Lois G. Lerner is still a target, congressional Republicans sent a letter to new Attorney General Loretta Lynch Thursday asking her to follow through on their official request last year for a criminal investigation into Ms. Lerners behavior at the IRS.
Led by Rep. Paul Ryan, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, the Republicans said its been more than a year and the Justice Department has yet to respond to the referral the committee approved on April 9, 2014, listing three areas where lawmakers believe Ms. Lerner may have broken the law.
The committee continues to believe that these serious charges should be pursued by the Department of Justice, Mr. Ryan and his fellow lawmakers said in their letter.
They said Ms. Lerner used her position as a senior executive overseeing tax-exempt groups applications to improperly target conservatives for intrusive scrutiny; impeded an official investigation by misleading the inspector general; and may have disclosed confidential taxpayer information by using her private email to conduct official IRS business.

Be it soon or in Jan. 2017 is yet to be seen.
House members are delusional if they think Obama/Lynch cabal will investigate anything that has White House fingerprints on it.
Or they could exercize their constitutional authority, arrest her and make her comply.
Yes they could, and I do give the pubs credit for keeping on trying to bring this corrupt woman to justice.
Your suggestion would definitely energize us.
Phooey!
Has any administration ever investigated the actions of a previous administration? I can’t think of any.
They’re just throwing us a bone after they’ve screwed the hell out of us by caving to everything the King has demanded. I’d say confidence and trust in the overnment is probably at the lowest its been in a very long time and they know they’re going to be replaced the next election. I can’t wait to see the incumbents replaced by the illegals and Muslims that they gave a free pass to. Justice will be sweet.
Nope. Everyone always goes free regardless of party.
It would, but then they arent remotely serious about their ‘justice’ If they were, they would do it. They arent so we get the dog and pony show. Cloward Piven by another name.
They did what after Holder told them no? Nothing. They will do what when this chick tells their racist selves to FOAD? Nothing. Because they are on the same team. Just like when Sierra Clubbers sue the EPA. All for show to advance a shared agenda. The GOP says “LOOK WHAT WE DID TO STOP THE EVIL!!!” when in fact, they did not do anything but refuse to exercize their constitutional power and keep a criminal enterprise intact and still hard at work.
I feel your pain, BRO/SIS!
“Blah blah blah GOP blabbity blah Demands blah. Blah blah blabbity blah. Blabbity blabbityInvestigation blah blah. Blah blah Blah Blabbity blah Serious charges blah blah blah blabbity blah.
Phooey!”
Repubicans pi$$ing into the wind again!
Lois Lerner didn’t do these things on her own, go after her superiors.
Like you, when I hear these things, I feel like I’m in a Peanuts cartoon with the caption overhead “WAAAAA, WAAAAAAAAAAAAA, WAAAAAAAA.”
“Nope. Everyone goes free regardless of party.”
Perhaps Dennis Hastert is the first exception to the rule and a warning to others.
“The committee continues to believe that these serious charges should be pursued by the Department of Justice,
Well, good luck on that.
The GOP is part and parcel of the IRS coverup
starting with corrupt Issa (with his partner
criminal Cummings), and ending with
treasonous Boehner and docile backstabbing McConnell.
The GOP is not the GIVE OBAMA PARTY (gop) for
no reason. They are truly stinking lying scum
and DESERVEDLY hated by the American public.
The GOP is not the GIVE OBAMA POWER party (gop) for

I prefer Grand Old P[babykitties]. But that’s just me. :)
