Until you are loathed as pariah, that’s the funny thing about a world, it has to figure out how to get along sooner or later. The USA often refrained. The USSR more ruthless. Yeah we respect terrorists... until we can figure out a way to send them to hell.
Just saying there is a balance in the real world.
The problem, right now, is not with the people who figure out how to do that. Nor is it with the people who carry out those plans.
The problem is in the White House.
