Weekly Standard ^ | Masy 26, 2015 | JERYL BIER

The speed with which the transgender agenda is moving may end up making the same-sex marriage debate look slow and deliberative by comparison. And now Scholastic, the children's publisher that specializes in distributing and selling books through schools, is poised to bring the issue to a middle school classroom near you. The medium is George, the story of an eight year old boy named George who desperately wants to be considered a girl.

Didn’t know Scholastic was still around. The only “George” books I recall them selling were the “Curious George” books. About that mischievous chimp. Seems they are now replacing those with “Transexual George.” Yep, for 8-year-old readers.

America has become a truly sick, sick place.

Want to put a stop to transgender garbage?

Demand transracial identities be recognized as well. If I choose to be Black, then that’s all the counts! Anyone else is a bigot.

Yeah I can see how a Fat Queer Activist would have more than a passing interest in a Transgender Eight-Year-Old.

Scholastic is quite a racket. With all these young adult series like hunger games, harry potter, twilight, Scholastic gets these books on school reading lists, sometimes before they are published. If they hit, the franchise then has a huge built in audience ready and waiting to consume the movies.

Why do we have to accept transgenderism as normal? It is a mental illness and should be treated as such. Can we not stand our ground on this?

Are you kidding? A circus is a whole lot more wholesome than this country and its culture.

Scholastic book day was my all time favorite. Our teacher would give us some time after lunch to dive into our books that we'd ordered the month before.

Horse books, Beverly Cleary's "Ramona" books - loved it.

It is a crime that this crap is being thrust into children's lives.

Is this the real-life story of Barney Frank, Anthony Weiner, or Rahm Emanuel?

Re “our culture is turning into a circus”/

No, a circus is entertainment by skilled performers.

Our cultural corrupters are psychological sick haters of straight men, stay-at-home moms, moral, religious and patriotic Americans.

Now they are child predators, aided and abetted by once trustworthy institutions such as Junior Scholastic/Scholastic publishing, who are more interested in money than in the moral corruption they are spreading.
