Seriously: White House Suggests More Gun Control In Strict Baltimore After Bloody Memorial Day

When asked about the violence yesterday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest suggested more gun control was one of the solutions.

“Obviously there’s some common sense things we could do – certainly passage of some gun safety laws in Congress that could keep guns out of the hands of criminals would be one thing that we could do to try to limit the violence,” Earnest said.

There's just a few problems with that suggestion. Maryland already has strict gun control laws. In fact, it was just two short years ago that new gun control measures were passed through despite overwhelming opposition.

Obviously josh earnest is an idiot or a parrot. Just make b'more a no go zone and disarm the cops. That should solve the problem. Oh yeah. And have the cops dress down so they're not so threatening looking.

Democrats are all about gun control, always. It is what commies and fascists do.

I’m a resident of Maryland, and I am disgusted with our existing gun laws. All state restrictions on the right of the people to keep and bear arms are both immoral and unconstitutional, and Maryland is one of the most immoral states in the country. More restrictive laws that only affect decent people will just give criminals an even bigger advantage over law-abiding citizens. Liberals won’t admit it, not in public, but they know that convicted felons already don’t buy their guns legally.

Liberal logic 1.0: If law abiding white citizens are prohibited form owning and possessing firearms, then black savages would be unable to steal them; sell them on the black market; and, commit felony firearms crimes in the inner city ghettos.

More gun control will not protect the ‘authorities’ and ‘leaders’ fr as long as once can get a butter knife, he can get a gun, for as long as the police have guns, the street folk will too.

Back in the race riots of the late 60’s cops were lured by false calls of rape in progress, only to be killed and have their guns taken.

We are not going to reverse the trouble we,a s a nation, are in by denying the past and continuing to allow the police to act more like a gang of thugs than a group to protect and serve.

History has a habit of repeating itself.

The problem in Baltimore can be summed up in one simple sentence: The officials will not support the police in enforcement of already existing laws.

That’s why crime is out of control. That’s why the police can’t / won’t police the neighborhoods where crime is rampant. The police themselves are afraid of being charged of being criminals.

So what good will it do to pass more unenforceable laws? Do these idiots think that race crazed gangs and entitled thugs will just turn the neighborhoods back over to civilians?

Yes, I did say thugs.

You pretty much nailed it.
That’s what I’ve actually heard from libinlaws,
when faced with the fact that no criminal buys their guns through an outlet that requires background checks -

if no one could buy them, then they couldn’t be stolen.

I guess we’ll have a giant “gun magnet” floating over the country to get all the guns that are already out there, eh?

Oh look, another age old Democrat idea that has proven to fail every time it has been used in the history of mankind. But apparently, Republicans are the party of the past.

some gun safety laws..SOME gun safety laws..PLURAL?

a very odd approach to announcing such intent

Its rather peculiar in terms of both the use of the word SOME..and the word LAWS.

It smacks of childish thinking

for example:

Lets add Some.[ more ] Sugar...to the recipe.

so telling, so very telling

Then, when the drug dealers yell 5-0, it will really be 5-0!
