Jeb Bush beating around the campaign trail
Boston Herald ^ | 5/27/15 | Howie Carr

Jeb Bush sucks.

Why beat around the ... bush? It’s reality. Juan Ellis Bush is stumbling around the country, and the more Republicans he meets, the further he drops in the polls.

In Oklahoma over the weekend, he finished sixth — sixth! — in a straw poll. In Iowa, he’s been running seventh. Even in New Hampshire, he’s slip-sliding away, tied for third in the most recent Bloomberg poll.

“I am a Bush and I am proud of it,” he blurted out last week in Portsmouth. “I mean, what am I supposed to say?”

How about, “I quit.”

Or, “I’m really a Democrat, so I’m going to run against Hillary Clinton.”

It’s commendable that he’s proud of his family. He should be. It’s his record he should be ashamed of.
Particularly his slobbering defense of illegal aliens and Common Core.

A couple of weeks ago, his operatives were bragging that Juan was going to have $100 million in his super PAC by the end of this month. Apparently his contributors can’t read the polls.

That kind of money can buy a lot of everything — a thousand telephones that don’t ring, as Bob Dylan would say. Those Juan
moves move only in command, to quote the Bard, nothing in love.

Last week Donald Trump said, “I think he doesn’t want to be running. … He looks unhappy. He looks like he just doesn’t want to be there.”

Funny, that’s almost exactly how a reporter at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference described Juan’s speech in Oklahoma City two days later: “The delivery was flat and uninspired. He didn’t seem to want to be there, and it looked like he barely wanted to be running for president.”

At the Oklahoma straw poll, the good news was that “Bush’s gathering had the most impressive crop of billionaires and millionaires.” Gee, I wonder why? Billionaires for Bush — has a nice ring to it.

Juan got into trouble in an interview with Megyn Kelly of Fox News in which he said his brother made the right decision going into Iraq. He says he “misheard” the question, and to be fair,
she didn’t ask it in the language he speaks at home, which is Spanish.

In that same interview, he also harrumphed that U.S. citizens should “show some respect” for illegal aliens — apparently the EBT cards and Obamaphones aren’t enough for the “valedictorians,” as
he described those behind the crime wave sweeping
the nation.

Now it turns out Juan is having a new “cottage” built for himself on the family estate in Kennebunkport — between the land and the construction, it’ll be worth $2 million. Nice cottage.

Don’t worry Juan — you’ll be able to spend plenty of time on Walker’s Point in the years ahead. I just hope there’s a wing for all the valedictorians I know Juan will be welcoming to York County once he realizes that politically, he’s already assumed room temperature.

What did Barbara Bush say in 2013 — “We’ve had enough Bushes.”

So even his own mother knows. Jeb Bush sucks.

Howie Carr didn’t even mention that issue which makes even seriously thinking about ever voting for Jeb impossible...Teri Schiavo.

[Last week Donald Trump said, “I think he doesn’t want to be running.]

Maybe Trump is right, maybe he is running just because he wants to feed his enormous ego and his pathological need for attention.

Jebster is this cycle’s designated loser.
He’ll concede to Hillary graciously.

American Spectator has an article reminding us of Jebbie's weak electoral showings in the past. In his first run he couldn't beat Lawton Chiles. His subsequent wins in FL's gubernatorial elections were boosted by a father and brother as ex- and sitting presidents, strong GOP years in general, and very weak 'Rat opposition. Jeb's got no game, just name.

Except that nothing the eGOP and the press have done have given him any traction at all.

I do not doubt that was the plan, but the public perceives the Bush line to be getting dumber and dumber as it goes along. Jeb is toast.

“Do you know who I am?”

Well, yeah, we kinda do, and that is why all the respect and adulation have been showered upon you. (Oh, heck, do I HAVE to show the < /sarcasm > tag?)

While I certainly hope you are right, I remember that John McCain was as popular as poison ivy in June 2007 with no money, flying coach by himself after TWO amnesty attempts only to be the GOP nominee by March 2008.

Tell your mom you’re your own man and you just don’t want to be president, Jeb.

Jeb Bush doesn’t represent anyone in the Republican base. He represents big money. That’s it. The simple fact he has led in any polls at all simply baffles me.

It doesn't look like Jeb has the charisma Dubya had.

Like father, Jeb is portrayed as a country club elitist from New England.
