Think Like a Liberal -- or Else
Townhall.com ^ | May 21, 2015 | Victor Davis Hanson

What happens when the public does not wish to live out the utopian dreams of its elite leaders? Usually, the answer for those leaders is to seek more coercion and less liberty to force people to think progressively.

Here at home, President Barack Obama came into power in 2009 with a Democratic Congress, a sympathetic press, and allies in Hollywood, academia, unions, and philanthropic and activist foundations.

Yet all that support was not sufficient to ensure "correct" public attitudes about Obama's agenda on health care, entitlements, taxes, guns, abortion and cultural issues.

In the 2010 midterm elections, the Democrats forfeited their majority in the House. In the 2014 midterms, they lost their Senate majority and also lost ground in state legislatures and with governorships across the country. Since early 2013, President Obama's approval rating has been consistently below 50 percent.

How, then, do politically correct planners force the people to think and act properly when they push back?

Extra-legal executive orders can help a president bypass supposed troglodytes in Congress and among the public.

After living long enough to have witnessed the real Communism,
translating Communist communiques, interviewing and sharing
life lessons with first generation Ukrainian-Americans in high
school, and then later in life Ukrainian Christian refugees from
the USSR, looking at this liberal ideology, as I check the
rounds in my snubnose, NO THANKS.

Ultimately an epicurean culture evolves into a totalitarian society.

To think like a liberal, Jack Nicholson said it best...........“I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability.”

If they keep gaining more power,
eventually they will live out their dream
of using the State to punish and exterminate
any who disagree with them.

Diversity hates nonconformity.

If progressive, socialist ideas are so wonderful, why do they have to be implemented at the point of a gun?

Jane Fonda Hayden must have been right c. 1970 when she predicted that the American people would eventually embrace communism; it’s come a lot sooner than Jane’s detractors would have thought. But the communists are in our face, and they are standing firm for totalitarianism.

We are supposed to be the shining light of the world. Champions of liberty and forces for good. Which all humans should and would be yearning.

(sigh) I just never thought I would see “it” here. The signs were there, the radicals from the 60s. The radicals are now mainstream.

Another thought that came to mind is that these people are TOTALLY not afraid.

Just listening to them, openly talking about totalitarianism or an proximity of it. THEY must have been really sure of their power grip.

Continuing down this road, it won’t end well.

LIBERALS ARE SOCIOECONOMIC FASCISTS!

a) “Leftists” pride themselves in being “their brother’s keeper”
b) Liberals ALSO expect OTHERS to be “their brother’s keeper”
c) Their “brother’s keeper” policies require that others are taxed and CONTROLLED in some way
d) Thus, unwittingly, Leftist policies result in THE USE OF FORCE. (If someone doesn’t pay taxes to fund their “brother’s keeper’s policies” someone will take them at gunpoint to jail).

As the saying goes: “Socialism: Policies so wonderful, you have to use FORCE to implement them!”

As one who cherishes individual rights, I object to the use of force on individuals. Left-wingers also claim to object to the use of force, but they don’t think deeply enough into the ramifications of their policies to realize they are huge proponents of the use of force on individuals to benefit the collective - sometimes in a very greedy manner. Hence the term “greedy liberals.”

That’s why I REFUSE to call them “liberals” because there is nothing “liberal” about their core philosophies. Liberal stems from the word, “liberty” and modern-day Leftists want the “COLLECTIVE” to have CONTROL over the INDIVIDUAL.

Hence, we need to start using the more appropriate term “Socioeconomic Fascists” for people who think they’re “liberals,” because they’re not liberal. They’re FASCISTS.
