Good point.

And Americans are tired of feeding people in Africa. People who then use the excess money saved to wage war on each other. Not to mention the graft and corruption involved in Africa.

Add up the money dumped there over the past 30 years and it's enough to buy every citizen a swimming pool for their home. That's not even including the millions raised by the Clintons... (not that more than 6% was distributed... but still...)

Friends of mine had their large farm in Zimbabwe taken by the government a few years ago. They live in Zambia now, and the man sometimes takes his little Cessna over to see what's happening with the farm and various buildings... nothing. Everything is just falling apart, nothing is being done at all with the farm.

Their case has been winding its way through the World Court, and they're still hopeful that someday there will be some sort of compensation. But, they have realistic expectations too... and will survive either way.
