SALT LAKE CITY A political heavyweight and a boxing heavyweight champion of the world stepped into the ring in Salt Lake City Friday night, and the fight for a charitable cause between Mitt Romney and Evander Holyfield was a tongue-in-cheek affair.
The bout between Romney and Holyfield was one of several fights on the card at Friday nights event, which was held by Charity Vision to raise funds to help provide eye surgeries to people in need in developing countries.
There was plenty of comedy and showmanship on display, as Romney walked out to reveal he was wearing a full suit beneath his boxing robe. A leather belt carrying former Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt was part of Romneys enthusiastic corner, and the former Massachusetts Governor and presidential candidate had a big grin on his face for most of the contestwhich raised roughly $1 million for charity.
Romney even sent Holyfield to the mat at one point, but later Holyfield was chasing Romney around the ring. Romneys corner threw in the towel after the second round.

I’d like to see Romney vs McCain, both defensive fighters, both trying to lose.

He fought other Republicans lightyears harder than he fought Obama.
Obama he treated to kid gloves and caviar behavior in comparison.

Did that Romney guy make a half ashed effort at running for President years ago?

he didn’t bring enough fight to the game. Cruz will. Ted knows what republicans really are and he wont let them hold him back.
Carson and Huck fans might, however, hold us back. We need those votes.

Sorry Cruz fans (and I used to be one): he supports a 500% increase in legal immigration. Welcome to a 500% worse situation with unemployment, depressed wages, and our American values being swept out to sea.
Walker may not be perfect, but he's got me on this issue.

Let’s get scrawny one-eyed Harry in that ring with Romney. He was quite the scrapper with the gloves in his younger years, they say.

I am not sure that Cruz is the man. Many of these people want to win but how many of them will strive to keep conservative ideas in their message.
