Laodicean church pastor Rick Warren appeared in Congress with pop icon and outspoken homosexual Elton John on Wednesday to ask for more money for AIDS research. They were clearly having such a good time that they started holding hands as you see in the photo.

Did Rick ever bother to tell Elton John that he was lost and headed for Hell? After taking their seats at the witness table, the giddy pair laughed and smiled as they held hands, with Warren saying “Amen” and cautioning Elton John that if they kissed it would be “the kiss heard ‘round the world.” Is Rick Warren trying to tell us something here, is there a “coming out” moment in his future? Hard to say at this point, but sure looks like it.

Such is the state of the professing Christian Church in 2015, weak, powerless, and effeminate. Elton John, the man who has worn more wigs and dresses than Marilyn Monroe, we expect this from. But Rick Warren claims to be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here was his perfect opportunity to lovingly and graciously tell not only Elton John, but all of Congress that without being born again they will die and go to a Devil’s Hell. But instead, he holds hands with a gay man, and jokes about kissing him. It was a joke, right?

Jeremiah warned us of men like Rick Warren. He is one of today's Christian church leaders yet he openly supports gay marriage, tells people not to read Bible Prophecy, and preaches a social gospel with unredemptive qualities make it unfit for human consumption.

Rick Warren is a test from God. A test Christendom is failing. Rather than cling to the Word of God and the old rugged cross, today's Christians are following the words of men/women like Rick Warren. This situation is preparing everyone to receive the Anti-Christ when he comes.

When the church goes bad, society is not far behind...

Rick warren is a fraud. I can remember seminary days and the Purpose Driven Church came out well before the Purpose Driven Life book. The reception his book had at seminary was what a piece of Porpoise (New age) Age of Aquarius Trash. Great for door stop though. Rick Warren is a false teacher. The Bible warns believers to have nothing to do with false teachers. He will lead many astray. Thw way to heaven is narrow. Rick warren believes that there are many pathways to heaven. That is not biblical.

I would like to know more.

I do not think it is the job of government to cure diseases. But a public health problem is a concern.

Additionally, I do not think an outreach of care to homosexuals is a bad thing.....just the opposite.

I pray Elton John, a man of immense talent, is awakened to the truth of the Gospel and his own sin and brokenness. I do believe that is more likely to happen when Christians are more Christ-like in their approach.

Anyway, I’ve had my problems with Rick Warren in the past, so maybe he IS off base. But like I said, I’d have to know more.

Imagine the rejoicing in heaven if Elton John repented and became a believer in Jesus.

I have been to Saddleback Church many times and Warren has always preached they salvation comes through belief in Christ as The Lord and Savior.

I’m reminded of a few people Christ spent time with.

But, who is more likely to be influenced here?

What if Rick is a witness for Christ and it has some meaning to Elton?

We are, after all, in this world but, not of this world.

Is the point of Christianity to seperate ourselves from those who might be saved?

For instance, I have a friend of 30 years. Wonderful woman and she has been with some smoking hot women in her time.

I’ll admit, I hit on them and tried to straighten them out.

However, I hadn’t seen my friend in about 12 years and didn’t recognize her at first. Until she spoke.

Her voice was familiar and unmistakable to my ears.

She had lost all the weight she had packed on and was more cheery than I recall.

She had several conversations with herself over the years and realized she was living a life that was far harder than it needed to be.

She quit women, stadted seeing men and now she can’t believe what she gave up all those years.

She even gave herself to Christ.

So, there’s one more for Christ and one less for the lie.

HIV is not the problem. The behavior of Homosexuality is the problem. What an opportunity for Rick to speak the Word of God to congress and to Elton. Somehow though, that message was not delivered...;-(

No one loves homosexuals more than Christians. We pray, cry tears, speak the truth to them in Love in the hope that the Words of our Lord will penetrate their hearts like it did ours!

However, what does supporting homosexual marriage do for homosexuals? What does Rick Warren's PEACE plan do for homosexuals? Will telling people not to read prophesy help them? Never once does he mention repentance from sin in his "purpose driven" book. How can someone come to Jesus without recognizing their sin and repenting?
