The following exchange set up by George Stephanopolous is a glaring example of hypocrisy. It is also an example of pure manipulation in the media. It is one of the provable moments in which network media is propagandizing the American people. In its own way, it is on a level with the Benghazi "Mohammed Video" propaganda effort -- also by Hillary Clinton surrogates -- to run an information campaign against the American people.
STEPHANOPOLOUS: ...But I do want to ask a broader question.It's been reported that you -- you briefed several Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, including the chairman, Bob Corker.
Did you offer any briefings for Democrats?
SCHWEIZER: No, but I'd be glad to give them before the book is released. This was a -- a friend that asked me. He thought it would be a good idea to talk to these individuals. This was the committee that confirmed her.
And I was glad to meet with them. They did not get copies of the book. They did not get any material. It was simply a verbal briefing.
And I'd be glad to brief any Democrats before May 5th, when the book comes out.
STEPHANOPOULOS: As you know, the Democrats have said this is -- this is an indication of your partisan interest. They say...
SCHWEIZER: Well...
STEPHANOPOULOS: -- you used to work for President -- President Bush as a speechwriter. You're funded by the Koch brothers.
How do you respond to that?
SCHWEIZER: Well, George, what did I do when this book was completed?
I went to the investigative unit at "The New York Times," the investigative unit here at ABC. I went to the investigative unit at "The Washington Post." And I shared with them my findings, OK. These are not cupcakes. These are serious researchers and investigators.

So, what makes this interview by Stephanopolous and ABC News a propaganda effort directed against the American people? Simply that Stephanopolous did not reveal his own recent funding of Hillary Clinton. He used his position of supposed neutrality with the ABC News Department to covertly engage in advocacy for a particular candidate.
ABC news is complicit. Make no mistake. Since ABC has offered no evidence that it was unaware of Stephanopolous' continued advocacy for the Clinton camp, then it is imminently fair to assume they are well aware of it.
Moreover, every Republican presidential candidate (and Democrat, actually) should reject any appearance under the auspices of ABC News until ABC proves to the satisfaction of neutral observers that they had no knowledge of Stephanopolous' continued partisan support for Hillary Clinton.
ABC News knows Stephanopolous is partisan, and supportive of Clinton. No thinking person can doubt it.

And not only does the elite Mainstream Media ignore the story, thereby shielding the Obama administration from answering for Operation Fast and Furious or many other administration scandals, they actually take an active role in promulgating the latest messages put out by the Obama White House. Most viewers were bewildered at the Republican primary debate in New Hampshire on January 7, when moderator George Stephanopoulos of ABC News asked, and continued to ask, seemingly off-topic questions about the candidates’ views on, of all possible subjects, birth control.
We now understand that current White House War Room “General” Valerie Jarrett has been conducting weekly planning meetings with representatives from the hard-left Media Matters, for the purpose of delivering the latest administration “talking points” and strategic memes to their cooperating friends in the elite media and thereby to the public at large. Then lo and behold, the original Clinton White House War Room “General” George Stephanopoulos just happened to pick debate questions not about Operation Fast And Furious, but, of all things, the birth control meme that the Obama White House wanted to float, as a diversion from discussing the perilous state of the economy. And wildly successful it has been, this meme-making machine, at keeping the Republican candidates off-message and off-balance.
A horribly biased media that will not even investigate Operation Fast And Furious will certainly not investigate this grossly transparent act of political prostitution by “journalist” George Stephanopoulos. In graphic terms, this was not merely discreet political sex for a quiet off-camera payoff; this was naked, grunting copulation at high noon, on the public square. Even so, today almost nobody will say aloud what needs to be said: George Stephanopoulos has now proven himself a political whore of the lowest stripe, but even worse than that, he has shown himself to be a serving member in good standing of Gangster Government, Inc. And his colleagues in the elite liberal media establishment are fine with that, because they are also complicit, either knowingly or unknowingly.
George Stephanopoulos does the political bidding of Valerie Jarrett and Media Matters, making him a willing stooge and a critical cog in Gangster Government, Inc., thereby disgracing both his family name and the occupation of journalist. He will go down in history as a dishonorable scoundrel, who put his shared liberal political agendas ahead of any bare pretense at making an honest search for the truth concerning deadly scandals such as Operation Fast and Furious, which by objective measures is the worst political scandal of the modern era.

But no, he's a Clintonista, so his first instinct is to not disclose, and then the lie about it when it's discovered. Then, as per the standard Clinton M.O., he claims some laughable "interpretation" of a rule that everyone knows is false. When you point this out, of course, that he's hanging his hat on that, then you get accused of dwelling on "technicalities".
There is no doubt in my mind that George Stephanopolous was directly used to launch the ‘war on women’ theme of the Obama Campaign in 2012.
Those questions on birth control were not inadvertent distractions. They were a calculated part of a partisan effort by the media as it joined with the campaign headquarters of the democratic nominee.
But it is a big difference between “everyone knows” and a verifiable fact, actually 75 000 verifiable facts.
I think ABC will have problems with this, and Stephanopolous may well have to retire.
I cannot believe that ABC News did not know of George’s continued advocacy for Hillary Clinton. People at work talk, they share, they get comfortable, you learn who they are.
They knew George Stephanopolous and allowed this set-up to happen without having George reveal his own recent support for Clinton.
ABC simply is not trustworthy.
Stephanopoli dutifully buzz-sawed any whisper of wrong-doing.....but the ABC'er never mentioned his Clinton Foundation donation to ABC viewers.....in violation of the ABC network's requirement of "full disclosure."

Nevertheless, it looks like the ABC veteran and Foundation donor has the party-line down pat.
The Clintons' cadre of puckered-up ***-kissers (lying-in-wait for federal jobs)---are spinning the explosive "Clinton Cash" revelations like crazy----blathering about "not a shred of evidence" of criminal wrongdoing.
Or as ABC's George Stephanopoulos helpfully parrotted, "There's no smoking gun."
The party-line (to save Hillary's ***) is that "it’s extremely difficult to identify a direct quid pro quo"....b/c while Hillary was Secy of State, foreign funny money was moving around from hand to hand with big money deals approved which she could say were going to be approved anyway.
And at the same time, all that foreign money was floating around, it was flowing into the "charitable Clinton Foundation"..... not into Hillary’s bank account (/snicker).
Plus, it’s a crime of omission to not even bring up scandals like the then-unfolding Fast and Furious, where 300+ Mexicans were murdered ON PURPOSE as secret White House policy.
Trustworthy for who?
They are very trustworthy for the White house and the Clinton Machine.
Of course they are not trustworthy, and certainly ABC knew about Stephanopolous. And most (thinking) people knew that Stephanopolous was a “Clintonista”. ABC could live with that, probalby even liked it, but to have public proofs, that’s a different cup of tea.
George Stephanopolous and ABC news have long ago shed any pretense of being objective. That is a no brainer. The irritating thing is that George Stephanopolous would have the audacity to accuse Schweitzer of bias.
Conservatives need to be schooled in all the social issues so that they have hard hitting rhetoric to offer in return when these ambushing leftist media bastards come out with their verbal canards. There should be absolutely no surprises. If you are not ready to face a hostile media and knock them down hard, you are not ready for public office. Carly Fiorina and Ted Cruz have been doing well. A few others, too. This is no time to play nice.
Wasn’t it Stephanopolous who ambushed Governor Pence from Indiana over the freedom of religion bill?
Pence did passably well, but he ran for cover afterwards. He should simply have steadfastly maintained that people shouldn’t be forced to violate their religion.
The only problem Stephi has is “HE GOT CAUGHT”
I agree but it’s more than that in my mind.
It was hypocrisy, and more than that it was propaganda in favor of one political candidate/party by a donor to that candidate/party.
And the news organization knew (or should have known) it.
It makes no difference that he is guilty of dishonest and hypocritical behavior. Or that he has committed a gross error in judgment that violates professional journalistic and moral ethics. Or that the only reason he owned up to still being in bed with the Clintons by giving them money (his apology was so phony when he said he gave money to the Clinton money laundering machine out of philanthropy to find a cure for aids and to help the children), was because he got caught with his hands in the ethical till.
Nothing will change. He will stay at ABC. They will defend him. His reputation and street cred will go up with the liberal community because he stood up against those evil, Koch Brothers-funded, vast right-wing conspiracy, Republican wing nuts. The Left loves their crooks.
I think the news department will be PO’d at him for getting caught.
The ones who really should take action are the other candidates. They should refuse any ABC debate.
