So, we’re to expect Special Forces to train wherever their objective is. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, etc? “Hey guys, can we send our Special Forces over to train, then they can complete the mission while they are there too!”

What is so disturbing about this?

I am not too bothered with them training in civilian areas as long as it is very well advertised.

It does sound a bit odd to be training with civilian police. That might be over the top and maybe even a violation of the ban on military use as law enforcement.

A little thing called the Posse Comitatus Act?

You know, the one that says very damned specifically that the military cannot be used to enforce domestic civil law?

So, the question is begged:

Why would they have a need to train with a civilian police Special Weapons and Assholes Team?

Our towns aren't even slightly similar to those in the Middle East. They are probably training for CONUS operations.
