I have no idea of what your back ground is, what you do, who you are...I care less...but allow me to expound upon my point:
There is a long standing, and I do mean long standing, training program in the US Armed Forces called MOUT.
It stands for Military Operations Urban Terrain.
It was conceived and implemented for the express purpose of training troops for urban operations...breaching doorways, clearing rooms, etc.
Nearly every base in the US has a facility for this of sorts...some better than others.
In addition, Special Forces units have even more specialized training in Urban Warfare and concentrate on middle east scenarios.
SWAT as it is and was conceived for the US police forces, is a civilian entity, intended to enable the civilian police forces to enter barricaded situations, serve high-risk warrants, do high-risk arrests, etc, etc, on citizens of the United States.
There is no need for civilian police units to do simpatico training with military personnel.
To carry it further, it gives the appearance of someone attempting to prepare for an order to use the military in enforcement of civil law.
That is a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.
Now, you may call it paranoia and your statement about Special Forces being patriotic borders on naivete, but would you ever put anything beyond this administration?
Yes, I would hope that the US Special Forces and for that matter, any member of the US Armed Forces, would have the moral and ethical fortitude to refuse any such order from the Commander in Chief, but why should the piece of shit put them in such a position in the first place?
Our military leadership is now rife with sycophants and liberal idiots with political aspirations that are fully capable of doing everything they could to carry out the treasonous intentions of the current CinC.
I put nothing beyond them, nor do I trust the piece of shit in the White House.
I believe the headline was "Drill with Local SWAT for Domestic Raids" or something close to that.
