So apparently Scott Walker took a quiet trip to Israel this week and we are only finding out about it via his Twitter account:
Great 1st day in Israel yesterday @ Western Wall, Mount of Olives, Church of the Holy Sepulchure & Via Dolorosa
.....[SNIP].....
Thanks @netanyahu for the meeting. Our democracies share common values & work to confront shared threats -skw
.....[SNIP]....
Enjoy your trip Governor. Tell Netanyahu to forgive us for Obama and that he has our support.
Politicians should almost never wear hats.
Walker's presidential campaign in waiting, Our American Revival, and the Republican Jewish Coalition organized his trip. It is not being paid for with any taxpayer funds, though tax dollars are being used for the salaries of the state security personnel who accompany the governor on all trips, including political travel.
American Revival spokeswoman AshLee Strong said Tuesday that Walker would address his meetings on the "listening tour" when he finishes it.
Walker also visited Tuesday with Israeli Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz and Economic Minister Naftali Bennett. In another tweet, Walker said Steinitz had given him a "great briefing on the threat Iran poses to Israel, the U.S. and the world."
The governor also said he had a "thorough discussion" with Shapiro, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, on Israel's security and the state of U.S. relations with the nation.
Walker, an evangelical Christian, has sought to stake out tough positions on terrorism, foreign affairs and Obama's recent nuclear negotiations with Iran.
Walker has taken a helicopter tour of important locations in Israel as well as visiting sites such as the Western Wall, considered the holiest place for Judaism. It's a place many Muslims, Christians and Jews visit in Israel.
On Monday, Republican Jewish Coalition Executive Director Matt Brooks tweeted a photo of Walker meeting with Israeli human rights activist Natan Sharansky....." - Scott Walker meets with Netanyahu
Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.
#5. Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
You don't like free advice?
Walker covered his head as a proper sign of respect.
Is it a slow Ted Cruz news day?
I must have missed the purpose of your whirling hat picture, other than seeing it as ridicule.
I am so effin’ sick of hearing about ‘listening tours’. This is a Klinton (read:Carville) invention. Walker can do SO MUCH BETTER.
That said - GO SCOTT!!!
Look at the top picture of Gov. Walker and then look at the drawing of Beanie Boy. As I said, politicians should not wear hats. If I’m “smart enough” to see it, so is the Internet, including Reddit, 4chan, Meme Generator, DU, Kos and that ilk.
I see.
You wanted to be the first one out of the gate to insult Walker and ridicule his head cover showing respect.
I guess in your world that’s “smart enough.”
In mine, it’s not so nice.
Were you like this, taking everything as a personal affront, when you were pushing for Huckabee or Santorum or whoever it was last go-round?
I have not campaigned for Santorum or Huckabee.
You came to this thread as soon as it was posted to knock Walker.
Now you’re trying to make this about me.
#12. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
Not many “conservatives” have his “Rules for Radicals” memorized or at their fingertips.
And why do you think I pointed it out to you?
Because you think that Scott Walker’s used food has no odor and that he is beyond reproach and not to be made fun of? What do I win? Have you ever even met the man?
You’re really something.
I think you’ve dropped enough stink on this Walker thread.
Certainly you can find a Hillary or Obama thread to visit.
