This week a new gun safety campaign was launched by Everytown and Moms Demand Action called Be Smart, and you can usually judge the value of such efforts by the degree to which the pro-gun media weighs in on the other side. They weighed in right away with multiple blogs and, as always, the infantile Breitbart response. And one of the pro-gun bloggers got it right when she wrote that "allowing the anti-gun side to control the gun safety message is a big mistake."

These idiots actually believe that universal background checks will prevent criminals from getting guns.
Huffington Post? It’s not even worth my time to read. Those people live in an alternate reality.
I don’t think they do.
These idiots actually believe that universal background checks will prevent criminals from getting guns.
Actually, this is what the idiot believes (last sentence of his article):
“Remember, there’s still only one way to guarantee that you can’t have an accident with a gun”.
That “one way” is to not have a gun in the first place .... going for background checks is so ‘yesterday’ ... as a liberal acquaintance told me recently “I want to take YOUR gun away”. They won’t be happy with anything but taking all guns away ... and of course, the bad guys will still have theirs since laws mean nothing to them. Same old cr@p from the gun grabbers.
“Gun business for 35 years as a retailer, wholesaler, importer and firearms trainer. NRA Life member. Ph.D. in economic history — Mike the Gun Guy.”
Liar.
Mike the ANTI-gun guy.

Because EVERY gun-guy touts the Brady campaign.
I earnestly pray he catches a randomly fired round in a tragic accident.
Who knew that Huffpo would throw their support behind abstinence programs?
“Remember, there’s still only one way to guarantee that you can’t have an accident with a gun.”
This line also undermines their pretense that they don’t really want an all out ban on guns.
Almost every person or persons who find themselves under viloent attack want two things;
God and a gun.
Deadbeat Mike Weisser, Ware Gun Shop
Hey Mike! Run out on any of your debts lately? Scumbag.

My sister and I knew where the guns and the ammunition were kept and we knew that the only time we could handle them was when my father was around. Later on when I was old enough they were stored in my room. Never had an accident
I have a number of guns in my house now and have never had an accident.
My wife knows where they and the ammunition are kept and where the keys are.
Training is how you prevent accidents.
Using that logic, we should also encourage people to not own cars, swimming pools, mop buckets, plastic bags, cleaning supplies, and so forth.
Good day there Laz. Tx for the link to mx.”not so” weisser’s background.
Same with our house .... been the same for a couple of generations, actually ... no accidents because the parents took responsibility for making sure everyone was taught to respect guns and how to handle them properly & safely. Even my curious brothers knew better than to get into dad’s guns without his permission and presence!!

Mike The Gun Guy Weisser writes for huffingtonpost.com. As you might expect from someone who pens for a publication that never met a Mom Demanding Action for Gun Sense in America that it didnt like, a website that wants all Americans to live in Everytown for Gun Safety, a media outlet that never ceases Brady Campaigning to Stop Gun Violence, Weisser isnt what youd call firm on gun rights.
Yes, but the application of their logic that they’d least like to address is that it supports sexual abstinence programs?
So they want us to carry their rhetorical waters of “gun safety”? Nope, let them die of it and be responsible for it.
Safety is personal responsibility and knowledge of firearms, and it is why we have the NRA.
To say we are not taking steps towards talking about gun safety is preposterous.
Liberals always ask people to donate to the Red Cross or WWF or government funding for Acorn to protect people and animals, but you will never see them saying to donate to the NRA or for a government funded NRA to promote safety.
They are just wanting the money the NRA has bad.
