By consent, the cloture vote on the substitute amendment #1140 to H.R.1191, (Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act) has been moved from 10:30am to 2:00pm today. As a result, there will not be a vote this morning. Additional roll call votes are expected to occur this afternoon.
2:00pm: Motion to invoke cloture on the Corker-Cardin substitute amendment #1140 to H.R.1191, (Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act)
At 11:00am, Senator Lankford will be recognized to deliver his maiden speech. The time from 11:30am- 12:50pm will be equally divided with the Majority controlling the first half and the Democrats controlling the final half.
6 Republicans who voted NO on cloture:
Sens. Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Chuck Grassley, Mike Lee, Jerry Moran, Dan Sullivan
Same bunch that voted Loretta Lynch in.
Tom Cotton is my guy in Arkansas.....
He will continue to raise hell in the Senate cesspool.
Cotton released the following statement:
“A nuclear-arms agreement with any adversaryespecially the terror-sponsoring, Islamist Iranian regimeshould be submitted as a treaty and obtain a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate as required by the Constitution. President Obama wants to reverse this rule, requiring opponents to get a two-thirds vote to stop his dangerous deal. But Congress should not accept this usurpation, nor allow the president any grounds to claim that Congress blessed his nuclear deal. I will work with Republicans and Democrats to stop a dangerous deal that would put Iran on the path to obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

Congress...America’s Whore House!
I have never understood cloture. Does this mean Obama’s nuclear appeasement passed?
I don’t know....sorry.
