Texas Dared to Defy Obama’s “MARTIAL LAW” Exercises… Look How the White House Responded

‘Operation Jade Helm 15’ involves special operations units of the U.S. military working in conjunction with government and law enforcement agencies in several southwestern states.

The operation has raised eyebrows across the country. Is it a test run for implementing ‘martial law’ in selected cities identified as “hostile” by the government?

Conspiracy theorists think so.

Or is it simply a run-of-the-mill training mission?

Nobody seems to have access to enough detailed knowledge about the exercise one way or the other. Therefore, speculation has run wild.

Many claim the exercise will be a trial rollout of martial law; others believe it will be a training mission for snatch-and-grab operations to round up and “disappear” dissidents.

Few claim or demonstrate trust, faith or confidence that the government-directed exercise is intended to expand individual liberties. Rather, they perceive another flexing of government’s iron fist squeezing liberty out of the individual’s life.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas State Guard to monitor operations as they unfold.

Abbott wrote a letter to Maj. Gen. Gerald ‘Jake’ Betty, Commander of the Texas State Guard, “During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed.”

“By monitoring the operation on a continual basis, the state guard will facilitate communications between my office and the commanders of the operation to ensure adequate measures are in place to protect Texans.”

In typical fashion, the White House has tried to assure the White House Press Corps there is nothing to worry about. Press Secretary Josh Earnest smoothed concerns over with, “The thing that I can say without having a lot of detailed knowledge about the particular exercise is that in no way will the constitutional rights or civil liberties of any American citizen by infringed upon while this exercise is being conducted.”

Without being in control of ‘a lot of detailed knowledge,’ it would seem a stretch for anyone to offer much in the way of assurances.

What can be expected when trust is virtually non-existent?

Got a friend who believes there are underground tunnels running back and forth between 6 empty WalMart stores.

I don’t know if it came from Ron Paul or Alex Jones.

Sounds plausible. How else would Punxsutawney Phil make his rounds on 2 Feb.

I’m not disputing anything at this point, but I want to clarify what the author meant. What is he saying, that Texas didn’t go along with some Military exercises that may have been a preparation for oncoming Martial Law, these two terrorist were ‘sent’ to Texas?

I would not put it past this Admin, to desire such an outcome just because they are low and venal. I would not think they had such ‘push button control’ of these two men who had been planning such an event for many weeks.

Just remember, if it were not for Boner and McConnell, Obama would be helpless at this point.

Re: “What can be expected when trust is virtually non-existent?”

That’s the truly sad thing about our situation today. Who can really trust what the government or the media tells us anymore? Precious little.

‘Jade Helm’ means what? Any takers? When I see our own Congressman expressing concern that this might not be a training exercise, I am a tad concerned myself.

I really do not think this is routine or normal

Referencing “jaded” Americans angry at who’s at the helm, or perhaps who would like to take the helm from the administration?

Nor I. This is my comment to a subsequent post on this topic. Money is really tight now in the services and this is an expensive exercise so it is very important to certain powerful individuals. Why is this drill so important?

I spent over 35 years in the military and working as a civilian for the armed services over 20 years was spent in planning and running command post and field training exercises and as an operations officer. No exercise of this scope ever took place that I am aware of in CONUS, One has to ask who is the true adversary such a large and expensive (at a time when money is really tight in the Army) exercise is being gamed against. In the past this would read like a bad take off on ‘Seven Days in May’. Today it is very possible that old tome is inspiring the Mahdi’s men in the Pentagon and White House.

This administration is corrupt, but it underestimates the resolve, resilience, and ingenuity of the American people. In view of the fact we have presented an extremely weak front to our enemies, it seems prudent to have resources on hand to defend the homeland on our own soil. It does not hurt to exercise those resources in the way of planning and execution here at home. We need to be ready for terrorist cells to open fire in public places with considerable force, or to attempt a Belan-type infiltration. Again, the fact that these enemies may be allowed room to operate here is a result of the current administration’s reluctance to use to force, both openly and by stealth, against our enemies. Their weak influence will come to an end sooner than later. The American people on the whole are not mind-numbed robots. Bear in mind only 1/6th of the population voted Bozo into office, and many of them seriously regret it today.

I do not swallow the conspiracy theorists who see black helicopters everywhere intent on ruling over the sheep with an iron fist. I do however, seriously question the legal qualifications for Barack Hussein Obama to occupy the office he holds not only because of the circumstances of his birth, but also because of his tacit support of Communism. If you are a praying person who knows where you came from, where you are going, and why, it is always good to pray for daily bread, because good government goes hand in hand with this gracious provision.
