Why We Must Unite Behind Ted Cruz [Open letter to conservative talk show hosts]

Open letter to conservative talk show hosts

Ted Cruz

I’m disappointed with conservative talk radio. I really can’t understand why our media giants, such as Rush Limbaugh , Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin, are not actively pushing for Ted Cruz….

Conservative pundits have attributed the 2012 debacle, to the inability for conservatives to unite behind one strong conservative. YET WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN!?!

While we’re window shopping, the other team lost no time with scorn, and vilification; ignoring and misrepresenting anything Cruz.

Coalescing behind one guy, won’t happen by itself. Nor will the liberal leaning media help us in this regard. Conservative talk show hosts-the “editorial board writers for working people”, MUST LEAD THE WAY.

So, why Cruz? Answer: Those that go to Washington can’t be trusted, except Cruz.

It’s true, Marco Rubio might have a slight edge in speeches, and Scott Walker can point to more impressive successes. Still we MUST unite behind Ted Cruz….

Many feel that, on balance, Cruz’s skill-set outweighs his opponents, but that can be debated. What’s not debatable is that every single candidate, (except Cruz) that has already arrived in DC, has changed their tunes. The other opponents have simply not yet come to Washington.

The atmosphere in our nation’s capital, is antithetical to conservative values. It’s so toxic, even lifelong conservatives feel compelled to accommodate the special interests and big donors. All, at the expense of the voters that sent them there in the first place. Except Cruz.

Just last week, Jodi Ernst and Perdue, voted against conservative values. Why should anyone assume that a Scott Walker won’t drink the same kool-aid Rubio has been sipping the past couple of years.

If anyone thinks moving away from Cruz will slow media’s criticisms, think again. They’ll vilify anyone. They even turned harmless, squishy, Romney into the devil incarnate.

No, Ted Cruz is not 100% perfect. Nobody is. All criticisms are, however, anecdotal at best.

Ted must be mentioned every single day, and constantly contrasted to his counterparts in the Republican party.

If a drum-roll is keeping Hillary alive, imagine what constant positive focus will do to one of our best.

Cruz, Walker, Rubio...only.

1. Cruz - Absolutely YES!
2. Walker - Maybe - Flip-flops too much based on who and what he is facing.
3. Rubio - NEVER! No Amnesty Queens need apply!

For anyone who doesn’t know, the author of this piece (Trevor Loudon) is about the best commie researcher and commie fighter around. You need to check out his site. And, no, I don’t know him or have any connections to him.

What makes you think Mr. Louden’s wishes that talk radio would unite behind Ted is “not part of the gauntlet.” It is indeed. It would be a huge advantage, but it is very much part of that sacred guantlet.

Ted Cruz is not the only candidate I would consider supporting, nor is he my very top choice among all potential candidates (she’s not running). However, I would like to see conservatives unite behind a conservative before the liberals unite behind yet another liberal RINO.

I’m not interested in Huckabee. He tried last time and couldn’t generate enthusiasm outside the evangelical block.

I’m interested in Walker, but only as a backup. I’m not confident enough that Walker could stand DC’s big government liberalism and corruption to put him in first place.

As for Jeb, Christie, and Rubio, I trust them completely - and that’s a bad thing. They will all keep their word. They will all push for Amnesty. They will all continue to fund Obamacare. I did not vote for Romney (not that it matters, not in Maryland!) and will not vote for anyone who supports Amnesty, Obamacare, or restrictions on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

Yes, that same process brought us Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney.

I sure have a lot of respect for it. Don’t you...

We’re heading into this election season doing things just like we have done them in the past.

Do you like how it turned out in the past?

He likes Walker now. If it comes to Bush vs. Walker watch him go for Bush. He did something like that last time. The shocker last time around was how many very conservative sounding talk show hosts went for Romney during the primaries.

Savage? Michael Savage? Who’s that??

Oh! I know. You mean Michael Weiner. Weiner who now calls himself Savage. Weiner suits him better.

He was talking about who he considered to be top tier “electable” Republican candidates who he thought could win (i.e. electability). His A-list was Bush, Walker, Paul, and Rubio, but Cruz was a loser in his not so humble opinion, and he actually called him that.

It is too early to united behind anyone.

Once you know that "The Ghost of FReepers Past" is a big Huckabee supporter the purpose of his comments should become crystal clear.

Many conservatives are not Christians and don’t like the Christian vote in their party.

He's a supporter of Huckabee. Should provide all the insight you need for his comments.

No, only some, not many.

Now, if you were to make that statement concerning Libertarians, you'd be correct.

It is too early to united behind anyone. Let the public hear from the candidates with trying to silence some of them. A republic works only if there is respect for the process.

You are getting slammed for this statement, but you are correct. We can't put all our eggs in one basket now. We don't know yet how any of these candidates will perform in debates, with media ads and identifying with voters. Uniting behind one person is the THE key to ending up with Jeb. If we jettison Walker, Jindal and others now, the second Cruz falters, he'll be crucified by the media and it will be over. Let these people build their organizations, campaign and debate. Then thin the herd.

The only issue I see now is Huckabee peeling off enough social voters to weaken the anti-Jeb votes. Most likely WHY he's running.

A Chuckles supporter? Holy cow! I thought FR was a CONSERVATIVE forum? Anyone who ain’t on board for Cruz and entirely behind him this very moment is part of the problem and must be ridiculed, laughed at and generally scorned to the point they go somewhere else where they’d be more comfy, like DU!

Rubio backed off when his original plan, actually an outline, was torn apart by obola, McCain, Graham and that POS from NYC! After he came out against the next plan by those a$$wipes he was attacked by them and conservatives. The libs took the cue and jump on him as if it was HIS plan and used this to drive a wedge between him and conservatives. It was also at this time his family started receiving threats and his children were actually pulled from the DC area school.

BUT, he did make the mistake of getting involved with those scumbags in the first place.

He has been solid on all other issues and I suspect the hits he takes here are largely from Paul nuts....

Whenever anybody says we must unite behind a candidate it raises the question of if he’s that awesome why aren’t we already united behind him.

Let these people build their organizations, campaign and debate.

No, they are NOT Conservatives. That in and of itself is far more than enough to thin the herd.

Cruz IS THE ONLY Conservative in the race. It's time to unite behind him. If Cruz don't get the nod, don't expect to win in 2016. Folks that actually love their Country like I do will stay home or vote 3rd Party. Get the REAL CONSERVATIVE in, or get ready to lose! Cruz IS the REAL CONSERVATIVE. The rest are a bunch of losers.

Naw.

Just an effort to clear the cobwebs out of the minds of those who are too willing to compromise their principles because they believe the lies of electability.

Just an effort to focus everyone that there is only one chance to get this right, and we'd best pick the best candidate possible the first time.

That candidate, among the current list of declared and potential candidates, IS TED CRUZ!!

CRUZ or LOSE!
