Senator Ted Cruz released a report entitled The Legal Limit Report No. 5. It lists 20 court cases the Obama Administration has brought to the Supreme Court which were all unanimously rejected.
The cases were all in an attempt to take away citizen’s rights in alarming ways. Cruz said:
The Obama Administration’s view of federal power is so extreme that since President Obama took office in January 2009, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously rejected DOJ’s arguments for additional federal power twenty times in cases involving a federal party.
He noted the Obama Administration’s losing rate is high and it has been dramatically escalated in the last five years as they try to take more and more citizen rights away.
The following are some examples of what the federal government would have the power to do if they won in court:
– Attach GPS’s to citizen’s vehicles to monitor his or her movements, without having cause to believe that they committed a crime (United States v. Jones)
– Deprive landowner’s their right to challenge potential government fines and take away their ability to have a hearing to challenge the fines (Sackett v. EPA)
– Interfere with a church’s ability to select its own ministers (Hosanna-Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church & School v. EEOC)
– Override state law through presidential fiat (Arizona v. United States)
– Destroy private property without just compensation (Arkansas Fish & Game Commission v. United States)
– Impose double income taxation (PPL Corp v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue)
– Substantially expand federal criminal law (Sekhar v. United States)

Seriously people, we’ve been waiting for a candidate in the mold of Reagan to appear AND to lead for the last 30 years.
When Reagan was trying to lead the country in a more prosperous direction, it was men like Ted Cruz he envisioned that would continue the vision.
Cruz is the real deal. He’s the most articulate conservative in America utilizing the Reagan playbook.
We should be able to run a candidate like Cruz and win decisively. If Cruz can’t win, then this country is lost and the whole talk about elections is pointless.
If you want excitement, if you want something and someone to vote FOR, if you want a candidate you can TRUST, support Ted Cruz.
Yep, I’m all in for Cruz, my next door neighbor as well. And I’ve contributed twice so far. Cruz is just so good at putting his finger on and explaining how radical and extreme far left the democrat party has become. And, he can rattle off all these cases in a way that everybody can understand.
I am impressed with him.

Yep - that is a HUGE plus. The guy is so smart. And no notes. Watch some of his impromptu answers on things - it is pretty amazing. Clear, succinct, facts and tied to commonsense that anyone can understand. And very straightforward as well - no hemming and hawing.
One thing to keep in mind (which just goes to show how far the destruction of our liberty has gone) is that cases often take years and years before reaching the Supreme Court. Looking through the cases in Cruz's report, many of the underlying power grabs actually pre-dated Obama, occurring under Bush (and even, in some instances, under Clinton).
So, as bad as Obama has been, it's important to remember that, even once he's gone, even if a GOP President takes office (and even if that President is Cruz), we need to keep the next President's feet to the fire, to make sure that he doesn't continue the decades-long trend of power-grabbing Presidential actions.

UPDATE: The implementation of Barack Obama’s takeover of the Internet is less than 45 days away. And as Marsha Blackburn says, if Congress does not take action to stop Barack Obama, the government will “control the Internet” in a little over the month.
