Question: Anybody Know Why No Grand Jury Needed In Maryland?

Posted on 05/01/2015 5:47:56 PM PDT by Cubs Fan

Is it up to the states attorney to decide? Or are there some rules about when a grand jury is necessary.

Bottom line why was there a grand jury in Ferguson but not in Maryland?

Because it might not have had the desired outcome.

Watching some whack job by name of Jay Morrison, of YMCCC, on CNN claiming it’s unfair to:

“Receive a demand of $500k bail for smashing a police car”

“Receive a demand of $50k bail, it was raised to $100k bail, for being part of the riots and took two things out of the store.”

“A father of one, who had a pair of sneakers, with the tags still on them and was part of the riot......erh (((wait for it....)))....Excuse me, part of the revolution, received $100k bail”

The System Consistently Oppresses and Targets Black People...”

************************************************************************

Did any of you get that line? “...Part of the revolution...”

Further, these thugs, even granny, were stealing and part of a grand scale malicious mischief, theft, burglary, arson and many other crimes.

Black People are being oppressed? WTF?

They are not good and decent people like the many who tried to help those who were victimized.

They are criminals!!!!!

Don’t think they will need a jury either.

Do we know for a fact that there was no Grand Jury?

This is basically the same thing Angela Corey did to George Zimmerman.

She looked at the evidence, said she had probable cause, charged him, and lost the case.

She didn’t want to bring the evidence before a grand jury, because I imagine that would not have agreed with her assessment.

And I suspect the same thing has occurred in this case.

Alan Dershowitz believes its unlikely that any of them will be convicted simply because Mosby wildly overcharged them.

Does the term “Domestic Terrorism” ring a bell?
IMO that is all it comes down to.
Let us act as we want to act or we will terrorize the crap out of the city/ies

And the mayor sez,”Sounds goot to me”

Different states, different names. States Attorney in Maryland, elected locally (city of Baltimore in this case, counties in other cases). Same as a District Attorney in other states.

I am no lawyer, but as I understand it, although grand juries are constitutionally required in Federal criminal cases, many (most?) states do not require grand juries to indict.

Well there does seem to be a valid claim that his arrest on the knife charge was not valid.

I do not know exactly what kind of knife he had, or if the fact that he has a record would preclude him from carrying a knife, but if one reads that law, it seems like he shouldn’t have been arrested for that.

However, I don’t see how we go from that, assuming that mistake was made, to second degree murder.

I don’t believe those 6 cops were out looking for blood that morning.

Hey let’s arrest whoever we can and put ‘em in the van and drive them around until we kill them with a nickel ride...

I just find that intent hard to believe.

If she can prove that beyond a reasonable doubt, then okay, but I think Dershowitz is probably right.

Because it was obvious to her, as it was to many people that they (the 6 charged) unintentionally killed Gray (with varying culpability), while punishing him (adjusting his attitude) with a bumpy ride in the paddy wagon.

But don’t fret, I don’t think any DA has made a good political career from prosecuting a bunch of cops. This case will be no different, a kiss of death to the DA’s political career.

What is next, Madame Guillotine?

Why the riots, looting and destruction of their own Black neighborhoods? Did the Blacks doubted for a moment that the Black establishment in control of Baltimore will fail to condemn the officers to the highest penalty allowed by Law? They will receive in a plate the head of 3 blacks and 3 white officers to placate the rabble of noisy angry thugs.

Democratic hard left control of Baltimore is the main cause of the riots and racial division in spite that all the power is in the hand of Black democrats for several generations.

Black Baltimore Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, ordered the police: to “stand down” “LET THEM LOOT. IT’ S ONLY PROPERTY” . We saw hell explode after the Black democratic mayor gave the thugs carte blanche to destroy the city. The police weren’t allowed to defend the city. More than 100 officers were injured, some seriously.

Baltimore needs a new mayor with courage and integrity, Toya Graham, the mother that took his son from the mob.

“The steady expansion of welfare programs can be taken as a measure of the steady disintegration of the Negro family structure over the past generation in the United States.” Dem. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (In office January 3, 1977 – January 3, 2001)

“The liberal left can be as rigid and destructive as any force in American life.” Dem. senator Daniel Moynihan

Facts are irrelevant for Anarchists, Communists, professionals agitators and “community organizers” followers of Marxist Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” strategy.

Obama is the most racist and divisive president in our history. Obama does not want unity. He wants to keep the country as polarized and disoriented as possible. Obama has been inflaming racial tension since he took power. According Alinisky’s tactics adopted by Obama, change has to be brought through relentless agitation and “trouble making” of a kind that radically disrupts society as it is.

David Horowitz’ excellent recently published pamphlet “Barack Obama’s Rules for Revolution: The Alinsky Model” offers keen insights into Alinsky and what it might mean when Alinsky followers are in positions of power. The conclusions he reaches are not pleasant but are borne out by current events, public utterances of the president, his history, and the work of Alinsky himself.

What we are seeing is the most radical President in our country’s history who is unable to govern because governing is not his purpose. The Alinskyite, ever the destroyer of institutions, cannot govern because governments and societies are built upon institutions.

We wonder if Baltimore’s schools are forming thugs instead of educating the students for a fruitful and productive life? In Baltimore, taxpayers are currently spending $16,578 per year for each pupil in the city’s public schools. Not only is this 48% more than the national average of $10,608, but it’s more than any other country on the face of the earth spends on public education.

Nationwide according to the FBI in 2011, 193 blacks were killed by whites, 448 White killed by Blacks while 2,447 blacks were killed by blacks. That is 2.3 times more whites killed by blacks than the other way around despite the fact that there’s six times as many whites in this country.

Do Black lives really matter? How many of the parents of Blacks murdered by Blacks received a call of Obama or send his personal representative to the funeral? Did our condolences in chief has ever called the parents of so many Whites killed by Blacks?

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke: Obama ‘Quietly Enjoying’ Unrest in Baltimore

Not holding back one bit. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke says O is “quietly enjoying” what’s going on in Baltimore because he’s a ‘promoter of division’ and has ‘benefitted politically’ from ‘dividing’ people.

Sheriff Clarke points out all the times President Obama has pitted one group of Americans against another. He also questions why Obama didn’t come out and speak about the Baltimore riots earlier. He was interviewed here on the Mark Levin Show.

Clarke: Change In Baltimore Should Start With “Failed Liberal Democrat Policies”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3284755/posts

Breitbart.com ^ | April 30,2015 | Ian Hanchett

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (D) blasted “failed liberal government policies” for miring people in cities like Baltimore in “generational poverty” and argued that change in Baltimore “needs to start in the politics, the failed liberal Democrat policies” on Wednesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

I am not a lawyer either, but I imagine that no such requirement exists, because I have seen this type of direct indictment done twice now in this case and the Zimmerman case.

It just doesn’t seem like a wise move to me.

If you can’t convince a grand jury to indict with its standard of probable cause, then it doesn’t seem likely that a jury will be convinced to convict under its standard of beyond a reasonable doubt.

Basically, it’s really easy to get an indictment if you have sufficient evidence, but they didn’t do that.
