Guess this former movie theater won't have a "Gun Free Zone" policy. Good use of a vacant space.

That was the secret of Stax success.

In the late '50s, movies were getting put out of business by TV, so Stax bought a movie theatre at a low price, converted it into a recording studio, and the rest is history.

(The sloping floor of the movie building contributed to the unique Stax sound.)

I’ve shot a gun range in Pasadena, Texas that was converted from an old movie theater.

It isn’t a nice area anymore.

The old Cinema Center is in the middle of town in a stable neighborhood the building has been vacant for several years It’s nice to see that it is going to be put to good use. Training & the safe use of firearms.
