LOS ANGELES >> AT&T Inc. on Tuesday confirmed that it has fired Aaron Slator, a president who became the subject of a $100 million discrimination lawsuit for using his work phone to send racially offensive images.
"There is no place for demeaning behavior within AT&T and we regret the action was not taken earlier," the company said.

Apparently Knoyme King, "a 50-year-old black woman who worked for Slator," wasn't happy with her career advancement and went through his phone looking for something to get on her boss. So she found a message [that he sent to someone else] containing a meme that some of you may have seen before. It has been designated as racist.
AT&T, in business that sells goods and services in a very competitive and PR-oriented market, decided to throw their President of Content and Ad Sales over the side, hoping it would appease the sharks in the media and legal profession.
It did not; the $100 million lawsuit goes on.
I bet a Dixie Boy firecracker label would drive the PC crowd over the top.
Maybe she planted it?...................
Um...is she facing charges for theft?
She went through HIS phone. Wow...that is anknoying.
I have black fatigue. Every time I see the word “racism” in a post, I close the page. I am weary of what this culture has become. I abhor the “news” media. I want nothing to do with the government. I want to be left alone. If there were only some other place to go, some place where reason still reigned.
The firing keeps the cost from going to $200,000,000.00
The second lesson: be VERY careful who you allow to be your personal assistant/secretary. You can only be betrayed by somebody you have mistakenly given trust to.
Seconded. I live my life trying to avoid blacks, because any interaction is possible grounds for an accusation of “racism”. Not to mention, my very existence is oppressive to them, and I wouldn’t want to oppress anyone, would I?
Just what promotions can a personal secretary to the boss expect?
There’s some context behind the picture that folks are lacking.
It’s from a documentary about children growing up in various cultures.
That little African boy was an amazing dancer, and just epitomized the joy of celebration.
“It’s FRIDAY!”
You have named the reasons that I made this post on FR.
Be wary. “Racism” is a Scarlet Letter; you must prove yourself innocent [probably you cannot] and your colleagues will likely abandon you, hoping it doesn’t happen to them next.
Such is the fruit of Obamanation.
In Obamaland? Sorry, the political winds do not blow that direction.
Reminds me of a certain pro team owner that said something in a private phone call that was illegally recorded and he was forced to sell his team.
It’s why I make the argument that the D’s and R’s are wings of the same party and their goal is to destroy small business and make the constitution irrelevant.
People who work for government or large corporations sacrifice their constitutional rights to support their families. Small business owners and their employees are “loose canons” that the planners don’t like dealing with. They can’t be controlled as easily.
This is part of why BOTH PARTIES support obamacare. It destroys small businesses and keeps them from growing, while large companies just take it in stride and adjust prices accordingly. They have entire departments to deal with this stuff.
And if you are anti-big government, you are an R, but if you are anti-big business, you are a D. And even the most powerful members of business and government are not protected from this sort of nonsense. The “company” and the “government” are not human entities, and every human within them is under their thumb.
As Fred Reed mused a few years ago, we are becoming the worlds first dictatorship without a dictator.
I’m sure everybody understands what the context is. The truth doesn’t matter. If the Left smells blood, you’re next.
My, kind of reminds you of how a “picture” got a secretary (she had made a Xerox copy of her rear end) fired at Deere and Co. in Moline, IL back in 1980, lol.
I have felt that way since the “first black president” was in office.
Since my divorce in 1997, every single thing I post on the internet is posted with the assumption that it will be read and captured by the one person on the planet that would do everything within their power to destroy me.
Every. Single. Word.
It’s why I only say what I mean and NEVER say something I don’t mean. Even when angry.
NEVER.
