Turkish Foreign Minister: "Russia arranged famine in Ukraine"

The video of Vladimir Putin for the day was a hit the Internet. More information on this. zelv.ru

Ankara recalled the Russian leader Vladimir Putin about the "mass atrocities" of Russia in the last century - the Holodomor, links and persecution of Muslims.

Here is the full text of the STATEMENT from the Turkish Foreign Ministry:

"We reject and condemn labeling the events of 1915 as 'genocide' Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite all our warnings and appeals. These policy statements that are in flagrant violation of the law, have no legal effect for Turkey.

Taking into account the mass atrocities and exiles in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe, Russia committed for a century; collective methods of punishment, such as the Holodomor, as well as inhumane methods, particularly against Turkish and Muslim people in their own history of Russia, we believe that Russia should know the meaning of the word "genocide" and its legal consequences.

We are aware that over the past ten years, since 1995, the Duma makes political statements supporting unilateral accusations of Armenia. Following this agenda, April 24, 2015 I think to make another statement. And we condemn it.

The participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin in a ceremony held in Yerevan on April 24 not only showed what level achieved has already been going a hundred years the Armenian propaganda, but also that the visit should be considered in the context of the above.

While we expect that Russia will appreciate the importance of relations with Turkey and will take into account the complexity of the situation, this insistence on the illegal actions will not contribute to peace, prosperity and welfare of our region.

Leave your preconceived behavior and contribute to the fact that Armenia and Armenians in Turkey the assurances of peace and cooperation - the only thing that Russia can do in such a situation."

Recall, on April 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in commemorative events in Yerevan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

Note, April 23 Turkey stated that recalls its ambassador from Austria for parliament to recognize the Armenian Genocide.

"Due to the historical responsibility - the Austro-Hungarian and the Ottoman Empire were allies in World War I - it is our duty to recognize the heinous acts of genocide and condemn them," - says the decision adopted by the Austrian Parliament.

In response, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the Austrian Parliament "had no right to accuse the Turkish nation of a crime", that the decision "is contrary to the historical truth and the law."

The ministry said that caused the Austrian ambassador in Ankara and Turkey withdrew its ambassador to Austria.

According to historians, up to 1.5 million Armenians were killed by the Ottomans during the First World War, scientists regard it as genocide. Turkey insists that the number of victims is too high and that they were killed in the civil war, not genocide.

The Ottoman Empire was defeated and dissolved by 1922. It was abolished in 1924. There is no Ottoman Empire. The Soviet Empire is shrunken, but it still exists and has resumed threats to destroy and conquer the rest of the world.

So did this actually happen at the meeting?

“Turkish Foreign Minister: “Russia arranged famine in Ukraine”

Then, the news reports should reflect this as well.

‘The Ottoman Empire was defeated and dissolved by 1922. It was abolished in 1924. There is no Ottoman Empire. ‘

How would you call a recent joint project by Obama and Erdogan around the same boundaries then? You need to focus on substance and functions, not names and surface features for better grasp of situation.

Agreed.

And while we're at it let's toss the British hunger blockade into the debate. Guilt enough to go around. Of course, all of the guilty parties are now dead.
