Hillary Clinton v. the Oxpeckers: Dead Candidate Walking
PJMedia ^ | April 25, 2015 | Michael Walsh

What the hell was she thinking?

That the Hillary! candidacy is doomed is now a foregone conclusion. Madame Defarge has no aptitude for the job, only a taste for it, and a venomous certainty that it is somehow rightfully hers. But when you’ve lost Jon Chait:

The qualities of an effective presidency do not seem to transfer onto a post-presidency. Jimmy Carter was an ineffective president who became an exemplary post-president. Bill Clinton appears to be the reverse. All sorts of unproven worst-case-scenario questions float around the web of connections between Bill’s private work, Hillary Clinton’s public role as secretary of State, the Clintons’ quasi-public charity, and Hillary’s noncompliant email system. But the best-case scenario is bad enough: The Clintons have been disorganized and greedy.

The news today about the Clintons all fleshes out, in one way or another, their lack of interest in policing serious conflict-of-interest problems that arise in their overlapping roles:

As I commented in an earlier post, as to why, Hillary was suddenly seen as a 'Dead Lesbian Walking', it seemed to me the repercussions of "What Difference does it make" seems to have been the trigger in which people finally realize what Hillary was, what she was all about, a solipsistic, megalomaniac soiciopath with no concern with anyone but herself. Instead of appearing humble, showing compassion, regret, she comes up with "What difference does it make", which shocked everyone with the cold, callous attitude she politically ensconced herself with from day one.

That works for certain circumstances. Not when a member of your diplomatic corps gets brutally murdered. Instead of regret, sorrow or some sentimentality, showing a side of her we have never seen, which under the circumstances might have turned things around for her to show that indeed she had a human side, did the very worst thing possible for herself by undermining all those years of carefully choreographed scenarios, revealing a side to her that we indeed had never seen of her, coming off apathetic, blameless, ugly, and without the slightest compassion. Goodbye, Hillary.

The problem is this is coming out too early in the campaign cycle. This stuff needs to come out next year. With it coming out now, there will be an “Obama” or two that will step forward to credibly challenge her and just like Obama, she is not going to make it through the Democratic primary season IMO. Will it be O’Malley? I don’t know but it will be someone. I think she’s toast, I just want her to be the nominee before she’s officially toast.

All the sleazy corrupt deals the press is currently detailing or hinting at, the Clintons were doing when they were in the White House, and for that matter (for those with longer memories) when they were in Arkansas.

And anyone who cared was mercilessly mocked by the press monkeys.

The press hasn’t suddenly awakened. They have got new marching orders.

I agree that timing is everything where it can either make you or break you,but the timing now in which Hillary has virtually eliminated herself, is of her own myopic doing. She wouldn't dare accept any responsibility for what was wrought in Libya, as she already performs under a terrible complex of weakness and which she believed would only appear to make her look weaker, less leader-like, to admit some responsibility.

To a weak, indecisive person to show any degree of culpability would in her mind only make her less electable because after all everything she said, did or decided upon had the singular point to have it look presidentially strong, and so what difference does it make in her mind removed any any weakness or blame towards her presidential aims.

I agree. I am thinking the slam dunk goat sacrifice (see McCain, romney, etc.) Offered up by the rnc-e and financiers was supposed to be Christy but he turned out unreliable and might not follow the script, to save his hide. Fat, disgusting, hetero Rep vs. Smartest woman in the world, yada. Then they selected Jeb as barely plusible, laughable, straw candidate. The team probably thought, just chance the romney commercials a bit and we’re done. Let’s roll.

Liberal elites have another ‘the ONE’ waiting in the wings - and they want the Clinton's off the stage as soon as possible. That's the timing here.

All the usual suspects one would expect to defend the Clintons are turning on them. At the same time - smells like it's orchestrated...

The Clintons have been corrupt since they waddle on the stage. You know that Hunden. The press has chosen to wear blinders. Why take them off now?

Groups like the New York Times haven't done any original ethical thinking in 50 years... they're not ‘starting’ now. The New York Times and Washington Post don't ‘get it’ they're just being played by a slightly different group. One more dangerous.

Remember back when Howard Dean was running for president. He was the front runner by a mile. His campaign had by far the most energy. As goofy as he looks to you or me, he was a fairly charismatic campaigner. No one else on the Democrat side was close.

Then they pulled the plug on him, and substituted Kerry, who is one of the stupider and insufferable wooden blocks out there. But the switch was flipped and immediately Dean was out. I doubt he ever knew what hit him. And certainly no one in the press ever questioned the cover story.

The cover story? And exuberant scream that was perfectly normal for him and perfectly in keeping with the victories he was celebrating. But overnight the press monkeys fell in lock step and he was gone and Kerry was in. No one ever questioned it.

I will say this: about the only time we ever see daylight and real reporting from the press monkeys is when an event occurs and they haven’t figured out the political import, and when two factions within the DNC are at war with one another.

Thats it. Once the political importance of an event becomes clear, there is no more real reporting. And once the DNC intra-party strife has been settled, again, there is no more real reporting.
