It has to be voluntary, as in wanting to get it right before God. Because people were pressing them to do it, probably will not work.
I agree that forcing people into some sort of program is not going to be successful. Some people have been through the programs and have benefited.
That’s about all that can be said. As another poster said, this is more or less like any other group therapy. The success rates on alcohol, drugs, and other maladies aren’t 100% or anywhere near it. Does the psychiatric association seek to do away with those too?
