If our nation is going to pull out of this Obamaland crap-ditch that were currently mired in, then were going to need men. Not males, but men. Men who personally, politically and culturally scrap indifference, take responsibility, lead boldly and expect success.
Which means, if Im right in my assessment, that were more screwed than a drunken coed at Panama City Beach during Spring Break because there are pusillanimous punks oplenty nowadays.
Yep, I blame the absence of men being men as the chief reason why were being hijacked by commie clowns and a significant swath of our nation is actually contemplating electing Hillary for president when she should be in prison.
Look, Im not the only one with this woeful assessment of our male collective. Young single women tell my wife and me all the time that they cant find a real man… That men need to be manlier… That single men are little narcissistic darlings… and they wonder aloud, Where have the heroes gone? I usually reply… Have you tried Texas? Because youre not going to find quality dudes in D.C. or in Miami. Im exaggerating, of course. I hear theres one or two in DC and in Dade County. Good luck, Sadie Hawkins.
Now, when it comes to our nations obvious and odious rank pussification of the male collective there are many contributing factors to their candy-assedness.
From a culpability standpoint, I blame pop culture, effeminate strains of evangelicalism and the public school system that systematically disciplines and drugs masculinity out of males whenever it manifests.
In addition, its difficult for boys to morph to men when theres no awesome dad in the house leading by example.
I also blame young men who, even in the midst of such a sassy society, choose to eschew their warrior and wildman hardwiring and opt for the lame lane.
That said, allow me to focus, por favor, on a not so obvious contributing factor that makes for Juniors emasculation and our national decline. Ladies… you might wanna put on a cup for this one. I blame moms, in part, who over-coddle their sons when they should be forging them, in conjunction with their husband (or mentors if single or widowed) into men.
Heres the reality, Mamasitas: if you have a dependent, squeally male with your last name who wont get his crap together and be a provider, protector, hunter and hero, when your husband is pushing him to be a man, then you might ought help by not breast feeding him til hes frickin thirty. Its simple, folks: If you have a wuss in the house then someone raised that wuss and dont look at me, senorita. I didnt do it. Look in the mirror, lady, because we didnt raise your son.
Warrior and warfare expert Steve Pressfield, whos written extensively on… duh… warrior cultures, in particular, Spartans and Sparta, placed a massive emphasis on moms in his book, The Warrior Ethos. Pressfield presses home the important role of mothers in making men out of their sons. It wasnt just a Sparta dude thing, it was something also that the moms embraced and rejoiced in, namely, their boy's morphing into a warrior who could kick some ass and contribute to the betterment of their nation rather than suck off it like a giant suck locust. Matter of fact, it was a shame to a Spartan woman if her boy or boys did not have this warrior spirit.
Check out this example Pressfield highlights…
A messenger returned to Sparta from battle. The women clustered around. To the one, the messenger said, Mother, I bring sad news; your son was killed facing the enemy. The mother said, He is my son. Your other son is alive and unhurt, said the messenger. He fled from the enemy. The mother said, He is not my son.
Heres another example of rowdy Spartan ladies…
Two warriors, brothers, were fleeing from the enemy back toward the city. Their mother happened to be on the road and saw them running toward her. She lifted up her skirts above her waist. Where do you two think youre running? Back here from whence you came?
And then theres the most famous Spartan mother story…
A Spartan mother handed her son his shield as he prepared to march off to battle. She said, Come back with this or on it.
Like I said, there are many factors that contribute to males' not moving into the masculine funk that God/nature hard-wired them to righteously express.
The purpose for this column is to make certain you… Mom… arent babying that little rug rat into his mid-life crisis. Our nation needs men. Make certain, ladies, youre pushing that thing of yours with a willie, who has your last name, into greatness instead of pathetic gooeyness. Fill that boy with courage, honor, loyalty, a hardwork ethic, selflessness and a sense of God and country; and who knows… maybe someone with your name will stem the tide of our cultural corruption and bless this place versus adding to its demise.
We need tough moms and dads who are dedicated to their families so the kiddoes learn how to stand on two firm feet.
So true, and needs to be said in our era of indoctrinated drones.
... and to stand up to all those “tough mothers” on the Left.
Proud mom of a young MAN, seminary student with a beautiful wife, who will stand for God family and country.
The real blame is with the fathers and the fathers fathers. Not raising strong Godly men. And not raising women to demand the strong Godly man.
Abrogation of this duty has been given to the state by emasculated men that run from all responsibility. And we end up with girly men who don’t trust men and will start to look for political salvation in women. To mother them and nurture them.
Dr. Spock won out. No disciplining children as it stunts their imaginative growth and personal development. /sarcasm
Go tell the Helots.
Marshall titled his message, "The Keepers of the Springs." The following are excerpts from that powerful Marshall sermon:
"Once upon a time, a certain town grew up at the foot of a mountain range. It was sheltered in the lee of the protecting heights, so that the wind that shuddered at the doors and flung handfuls of sleet against the window panes was a wind whose fury was spent.
"High up in the hills, a strange and quiet forest dweller took it upon himself to be the Keeper of the Springs.
"He patrolled the hills and wherever he found a spring, he cleaned its brown pool of silt and fallen leaves, of mud and mold and took away from the spring all foreign matter, so that the water which bubbled up through the sand ran down clean and cold and pure.
"It leaped sparkling over rocks and dropped joyously in crystal cascades until, swollen by other streams, it became a river of life to the busy town.
"Millwheels were whirled by its rush. Gardens were refreshed by its waters. Fountains threw it like diamonds into the air. Swans sailed on its limpid surface and children laughed as they played on its banks in the sunshine.
"But the City Council was a group of hardheaded, hard-boiled business men. They scanned the civic budget and found in it the salary of a Keeper of the Springs.
"Said the Keeper of the Purse: "Why should we pay this romance ranger? We never see him; he is not necessary to our town's work life. If we build a reservoir just above the town, we can dispense with his services and save his salary."
"Therefore, the City Council voted to dispense with the un- necessary cost of a Keeper of the Springs, and to build a cement reservoir.
"So the Keeper of the Springs no longer visited the brown pools but watched from the heights while they built the reservoir.
"When it was finished, it soon filled up with water, to be sure, but the water did not seem to be the same.
"It did not seem to be as clean, and a green scum soon befouled its stagnant surface.
"There were constant troubles with the delicate machinery of the mills, for it was often clogged with slime, and the swans found another home above the town.
"At last, an epidemic raged, and the clammy, yellow fingers of sickness reached into every home in every street and lane.
"The City Council met again. Sorrowfully, it faced the city's plight, and frankly it acknowledged the mistake of the dis- missal of the Keeper of the Springs.
"They sought him out in his hermit hut high in the hills, and begged him to return to his former joyous labor.
"Gladly he agreed, and began once more to make his rounds.
"It was not long until pure water came lilting down under tunnels of ferns and mosses and to sparkle in the cleansed reservoir.
"Millwheels turned again as of old. Stenches disappeared. Sickness waned and convalescent children playing in the sun laughed again because the swans had come back.
"Do not think me fanciful
too imaginative
or too extravagant in my language
when I say that I think women, and particularly of our
mothers, as "Keepers of the Springs."
"The phrase, while poetic, is true and descriptive.
"We feel its warmth ... its softening influence ... and however forgetful we have been ... however much we have taken for granted life's precious gifts we are conscious of wistful memories that surge out of the past -- the sweet tender poignant fragrances of love.
"Nothing that has been said nothing that could be said or that ever will be said, would be eloquent enough, expressive enough, or adequate to make articulate that peculiar emotion we feel to our mothers.
"So I shall make my tribute a plea for Keepers of the Springs,
"who will be faithful to their tasks.
"There never has been a time when there was a greater need for Keepers of the Springs, or when there were more polluted springs to be cleansed.
"If the home fails, the country is doomed. The breakdown of home life and influence will mark the breakdown of the nation.
"If the Keepers of the Springs desert their posts or are un- faithful to their responsibilities the future outlook of this country is black indeed.
"This generation needs Keepers of the Springs who will be courageous enough to cleanse the springs that have been polluted.
"It's not an easy task -- nor is it a popular one, but it must be done for the sake of the children, and the young women of today must do it." -Peter Marshall
Marshall's call for such leadership of the nation by its mothers is as valid today as it was in the 1940's when he wrote them.
Amen bro. It sickens me to think I work at a church where we coddle and pamper able bodied young men who are down and out drunken sloths who refuse to work or whose wife kicked him out of the house for being a drunken sloth who refuses to work. I still haven’t seen how this honors Jesus when the Bible itself tells us if a man doesn’t work he shouldn’t eat. And it also says we should have nothing to do with a man won’t work. Disgraceful.
“...Obamaland crap ditch...”
Succinct and to the point...Pulitzer Prize material here!!!
;-)
I have a friend, a solid Christian conservative, whose twenty year-old son lives at home. He works part-time jobs, and is in and out of college, taking a class here, a class there, then dropping them when he decides he wants to do something else.
This young man leaves messes all over his parents’ house and refuses to clean up after himself. My friend and her husband actually clean his room on a regular basis. When the father loses it and yells at his son, my friend quails in horror...she just can’t bear the idea of her husband yelling at her boy.
She complains to me all the time about the situation. Then, when I tell her I would take all of his stuff and dump it in the driveway, and tell him it’s time to get a job and make his messes in his own home, she takes offense.
Think I will send to my son...I was kinda a tough (divorced) mother..he turned out great
The black robes don’t like masculinity. They see it as a threat to their power. The black robes rule this country with little gavels and lots of words.
Insert picture of Dorkbama’s pajama man here.
Not to worry, they will be summarily dealt with following CW-II.
Kaslin, this is AWESOME!!!!!!
What about a bunch of tough FATHERS? They are the head of the home.
Oh Friend. I too was a divorced mother. My son is a great husband, father and a man. Every time I talk with him, I tell him he does me proud.
That is what I wrote.
