When I brought Bowser home he sat out in the yard and cried for a while but he settled in overnight.

The people I got him from loved him and treated him well but couldn’t let him off the leash when he was outside. Here he’s free to run in and out all day and has a half acre to hunt critters in. Lots of fun stuff to do. Yesterday we plucked a dead fish our of the lake and smeared it all over ourselves.

It’s really surprising how adaptable puppies are. I adopted my Great Dane from a breeder in TX, who shipped him to me here in TN on the day of one of our worst hail storms in many years. I got him at the airport just in time to get him home before the hail hit. Nevertheless, he managed to make it through the night in his crate and we began to bond the next day. Now, four years later, everything is great and he’s a really fantastic dog.
