No. Taking money out of the productive economy and putting it into the wasteful, destructive government will nut fund growth and prosperity.

What a laugh riot. The libtards who have so successfully eliminated shame from our society now want to bring it back to fund their big gummint schemes? Laughing so hard I am crying!

I'd rather publicly shame those who are not required to pay their taxes.

You know, the 47% who benefit from public works but pay nothing in exchange for voting democrat.

“shaming policies”

The Scarlet “T”, a good precursor to yellow armbands for Christians, TEA Party members, gun owners, you name it.

I was at a Chamber luncheon and heard a School Board member speak in support of the group being promoted.

He literally popped the joke about how kids need a good education so they can go to work and earn a decent living to support Social Security and his lifestyle.

It is NOT just the 47% of those that don’t pay taxes.

Our government has spent its way into a Ponzi scheme and Federal dollars turn more people every day. There is much to be said about the cliche ‘we are the Romans’...

Put simply, insofar as this thread goes, there is no ‘shaming’ those that worked their entire lives and are collecting both a public pension AND social security and everything else governments have handed public workers...and the rest of everyone with their hands out.

In more ways than one, we have definitely crossed the Rubicon...

Used to be people were shamed for going on welfare. For collecting food stamps. For having children out of wedlock. For having to take public housing. For avoiding military service. For not having a steady job. For living off their parents when they are approaching middle age.

Why don't we start re-instituting shame in those places. Then we can talk about "tax cheats."

How about publicly shaming the spendthrifts and elitists who so recklessly fritter away the public treasury? How about shaming the myopic malcontents who propose expensive program after expensive program that utterly fail to accomplish their objectives? How about shaming the mindless liberal drones who spasmodically support higher taxes and bigger government then act surprised when people object to giving up more of their money?

Taxes are extortion. There is no other way to define them. Therefore, they should be limited to what is necessary to fund the legitimate and necessary functions of government.

In what is becoming a too common trend these days, people comment on the headline and don't READ THE DAMN ARTICLE!

This isn't about tax policy and the "rich not paying their fair share". This is about how to collect taxes from deadbeats who legally owe taxes but aren't paying.

And, yes, in my opinion, these people (and those not paying child support) should be "shamed" in many cases.

Libs love the ‘no skin in the game’ argument when they talk about men and abortion, well when they talk about the opinion of men OPPOSED to abortion, so how about applying the same logic here.

If you a person gets more in welfare than they pay in taxes you are not allowed to vote? They don't have any skin in the game, just a vested interest in the skin of others.

Of course we all know what Dem “shaming policies” end up looking like in practice - internet bullying, death threats, violent protest mobs and burned down businesses.

“Some people are hard up and can’t afford to pay their taxes....”

Bullsh!t statement at the start. It may be oppresive and burdensome as hell but if you don’t spend like an irresponsible imbecile, you CAN pay your taxes.

I pay ALL of my taxes. I don’t encourage anyone to evade their taxes. HOWEVER, the Federal government in the US has become so evil and corrupt, paying my taxes is pretty much the equivalent of me feeding a lion an appetizer right before he devours me.

They routinely take my tax money and spend it with the specific intent to take away my rights, make me pay for things that are morally repugnant to me, put me in a straight-jacket of law and regulation and generally impoverish me.

I love the USA, but I detest those who are trying to wreck our great nation, its heritage and traditions. Unfortunately, that now includes ALL of the Democratic Party, and most of the Republican Party, federal bureaucracy and judicial branch. Our Federal government is no longer “of the people, by the people and for the people”. It has been hijacked by elitist, statist thieves. robbers and murderers.

l’auteurs....

1.”Ricardo Perez-Truglia is a researcher at Microsoft Research in New England.”
aka, lapdog of a near tax exempt crony capitalist corporation worth billionsx800+. Plunder accumulated via government sanctioned monopolistic and predatory practices that crush innovation and flood market with unstable idiot ware.

SHAME ON WHO?

2.”Ugo Troiano is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Michigan.”
aka carpet dwelling lab rat working for a tax exempt entity with NO real world experience or accountability whatsoever. Grows fatter daily suckling at government nipple churning out nonsense made possible via egregious tuition charged for worthless degrees whose purchase is subsidized by government loans to students who can never pay them back so the taxpayer will have to. Lab rat “works” a few days a week, as few weeks a year, and retires in 20 with 100% pay and free medical.”

SHAME ON WHO?

They can kiss my taxpaying rebel Richard/Robert/Johnson.

But that’s is just my opinion, and I don’t feel strongly about it.
