10 New Laws Will Increase Poverty in California
Los Angeles Daily News ^ | 04/12/15 | Doug McIntyre

Posted on 04/13/2015 11:55:56 AM PDT by Mark

The dominoes are toppling faster and faster.

With each passing day the elites of America are pushing ahead with their plan to erase any distinction between legal and illegal immigration.

The once cherished concept of citizenship continues to erode in the face of a relentless push to grant all the perks and privileges of citizenship to the uncountable millions who violated our nation’s laws when they entered the country illegally. Anyone who objects is vilified as a racist and xenophobe.

While politicians of both parties conspire to turn the brilliantly inclusive American melting pot into a dystopian Tower of Babble where a multitude of ethnic minorities are pitted against each other for social services and the first rung of the ladder of success, activists encourage new arrivals to cling to their cultural identity while propagandizing against their adopted country.

If you think this isn’t happening, you aren’t paying attention.

Or you’ve been paying attention to ABC, CBS, NBC, The L.A. Times and practically every other major news organization in the country, where every illegal immigrant is portrayed as a potential neurosurgeon or Rhodes scholar. When the Associated Press banished the term “illegal immigrant” as too offensive to print it was pretty much game, set, match.

How are we supposed to have a debate on a critical public policy issue if we’re not even allowed to use the language?

Amazingly, the lawbreakers are dictating the terms of the debate.

This column is the only regularly published voice of opposition to illegal immigration in Southern California.

That’s both remarkable and frightening when you think about it.

Occasionally the L.A. Times will run an op-ed piece on this issue from someone who strays off the PC reservation, but that’s pretty rare. Los Angeles is ground zero for illegal immigration, so you’d think there’d be a robust debate over the issue, but no, opposing voices have been bullied into silence or corralled onto AM talk radio where they are easily written off as right wing hatemongers.

Last week the California Legislature rolled out 10 new proposed laws called the “The Immigrants Shape California Legislative Package.” Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, introduced these bills by saying, “California will again show the kind of practical, humane, and forward-thinking leadership that we hope can move the needle on the national discussion.”

Fact: California has the highest poverty rate in the country, a horrifying 24 percent. Not Alabama. Not Mississippi. Not any of the Red Neck states hip, morally superior Californians love to ridicule. We lead the nation in poverty.

So what is the state Legislature’s response? They’re offering even more incentives for poor people to move here.

SB 674, one of the 10 bills introduced last week offers “immigrants” (notice the missing qualifier?) assistance in applying for special federal visas if they are victims of a crime. They call it the “Immigrants Victims of Crime Equity Act” but a better title would be the “File a Phony Police Report and Win a Green Card Act.”

Surely the Republicans in Sacramento will do something to stop this madness, right?

“Comprehensive immigration reform is important to California’s way of life,” said Senate Republican Minority Leader Bob Huff, R-Diamond Bar, parroting President Obama and every other pro-amnesty politician in the land. “The rationale behind these bills is admirable,” says Huff.

And he’s the LEADER of the opposition.

I, of course, would use a different adjective to describe the rationale behind these new laws; “irrational” comes to mind, so does “destructive” and “subversive.”

Offering even more incentives for the poorest of the hemisphere’s poor to come to California only condemns the poor who already call the Golden State home to a tougher climb out of poverty.

What’s “humane” and “forward thinking” about that?

The left doesn’t want the poor to climb out of poverty.

I don't understand why liberals feel the need to push out all the "vital" people.

These are the small business owners, the people who hire other people and keep the economy going.

Mayor Coleman Young for two decades did this very thing by not allowing any white people to open up new businesses in Detroit, so white business owners left.

The libs in California are brainless, because the only people who remain after implementing the leftist agenda are the very wealthy and the dirt poor.

Detroit was once known as the Paris of the Midwest.

And the great mass of decent, compassionate Americans in the voting middle stupidly think they are helping their fellow man when voting for Democratic Party politicians. Suckers.

Which means they need a boogeyman to scare them into pushing the proper lever each and every time. The GOP does just enough to supply that part of the narrative. Almost like it is a script...

Becasue they never have to deal with the repurcussions of their acts. There is always someone there fixing the mess they make, paying for it, or otherwise being resposible. Come the day they no longer have the productive side of America covering for them, things will get very nasty.

makes me consider that I shouldn’t salute the flag anymore.

Citizenship doesn’t seem to mean anything anymore...

“Wow, that’s the flag of Puerto Rico” said a friend, overly enamored with her latino heritage.

Even though she is whiter than me but, might be due in large part to her Moorish blood line....

Have to remind her, when she brags about being Andalusian and Moorish, that she’s an Arab....

I do not miss California and I will not shed a tear when Mexico one day raises their flag over the capitol building in Sacramento.

It won’t be the Mexican flag; it will be the North American Union flag, or if things get really out of hand, the UN flag.

As long as the illegals get free food, housing, education and health care there is no reason to raise the Mexican flag.

I was in a Costco this weekend in central California and was shocked that the primary language spoken was Spanish. Their carts were full and paid for by the tax payer. They each had 3 -4 kids in tow.

The US government will continue to print and kill the dollar to support these future voters. I just don’t want to be around this population when the dollar dies and the EBT doesn’t work.

I don't understand why liberals feel the need to push out all the "vital" people.

That's just it. Liberals never think the "vital" people will vote with their feet and leave.

They think if they just push their freak agenda harder, all those "vital" taxpayers, patriots, and business people will come around to seeing things their way, and everyone will hold hands and sing Kumbayah in harmony and utopian bliss.

Never mind that reality demonstrates something entirely the opposite. Facts as hard as concrete do nothing to sway the liberal mind from its imprinted indoctrination.

I will. All four of my grandparents are buried there, not to mention thousands of California patriots who died wearing the uniform of these United States.
