I like conservatism but I also like to win.Cant we softpeddle the conservatism and just go for leadership, prosperity, security, less government and an American advantage?
Did I miss the sarcasm tag?
Are you joking?
Did you miss the last two presidential elections where we "softpeddled conservatism"?
Wait. Is this Karl Rove?

I did some math after the 2012 election:
The 2012 US Population was approximately 315,000,000.
There were approximately 126,000,000 voters in 2012.
There were approximately 198,000,000 non-voters.
For the purposes of this post, let us assume that roughly 1/2 of the 198 million that did not vote were not eligible to vote, for one reason or another.
ERGO: 99 MILLION Americans could have, but did not vote in 2012.
Those 99 million Americans are our target market! Let us get to it!

Ted’s young enough to be an “older” son of B. and H. Clinton.

No.
You need an outsized approach to show you mean what you say. Romney and McCain took the “soft touch” approach and lost. Frankly, they took that approach and didn't believe one word of it.
Your approach fails.
