Fact: It's virtially impossible for Republicans to win the White House if they fail to win Florida's 29 electoral votes. Fact: Florida, for the first time ever, has two leading contenders for the Republican presidential nomination, Marco Rubio. who is expected to make his candidacy offical Monday and Jeb, Bush, who seems happy to pretend he hasn't aleady decided while he continues to raise tens of millions of dollars for his candidacy.
A crucial question, then, is whether Bush or Rubio is more likely to win Florida against Hillary Clinton. We turned to more than 130 savvy Florida political players to weigh in, and the answer from the latest Tampa Bay Times Florida Insider Poll was not even a close call.
More than 78 percent of our Florida Insiders said Bush would be the stronger candidate against Clinton in Florida. These are political consultants, fundraisers, lobbyisyts, academics, and the like who know both Rubio and Bush better than the vast majority of Americans, but the survey is entirely unscientific and our survey sample loaded with people who have previously worked for Gov. Bush or are currently actively supporting him.
"Most FL Republican heavyweights are supporting Jeb and see Marco running against him as an act of disloyalty towards his mentor. It will complicate possible future aspirations in FL, should he not win," said one Republican.

RINO vs. RINO; Amnesty whore vs. Amnesty whore.
Does it really matter if its Bush vs. Rubio?
“Favorite sons” went out with the dial phone. All Presidential primary elections are national, people vote for the Presidential candidate whom they think is best, not who will get the best for their state. No one is FL is going to vote for Jeb because he was “our” governor, nor will anyone vote for Rubio because he is “our” senator.
Barring any black swan events (and there are always black swan events), the competition in FL is going to be between Cruz and Walker, the conservative ideologue vs. the conservative pragmatist. Rubio won’t even be in the race by the time we get to FL because he won’t be able to raise the money; Jeb will come in 3rd or 4th, and the embarrassment will be the end of his campaign.
“These are political consultants, fundraisers, lobbyisyts, academics”.
And RINOs exactly like the fat version of George W. Bush.

Who?

CRUZ will surge in Florida.

They libs continue to push Bush, knowing that Hitlay would beat him. Conservatives need to get behind some else other than Bush. We know we’ll be stuck with Hitlary the beast. Al her previous years of scandal after scandal will make no difference to the left, they would vote for her is she was the devil “herself”, which she is very close to being.
A ticket of Scott Walker and Marco Rubio/Ted Cruz is a winning ticket. I feel when the dust settles it’ll be Walker and Rubio because of Rubio’s appeal to hispanics. He’s fluent in Spanish because he’s a hispanic and does not have to lie about being hispanic like the fatter version of George W. Bush.
Jeb was a popular governor here, but Florida is NOT the same state that it was when he was governor. Thousands of older folks have died or moved away and hundreds of thousands more have moved in. The demographics of every type have changed. Jeb is foolish to think he’ll take Florida simply because he was governor - it’s been over a decade, a lifetime in politics.
Rubio will take Florida - he’s articulate and a well groomed candidate, as well as a relatively popular senator here. He gets enough favor from Republicans and Independents to make a win happen. It doesn’t hurt one bit that he’s Cuban. Not saying his win in FL would be good or bad for the country, but he would definitely win it over Jeb.
The author of the article just wants to push a Jeb candidacy cuz he knows Jeb would just be another Dole, McCain or Romney.
Jeb bush was rubio’s mentor .. and he should bow out because of loyalty? These RINO analysts come up with strange stuff
Cool Pic!
Maybe, I don’t “know” Florida, but I’d guess,if its anything like Texas where we have open primaries, it may be dependent upon who the Urbans are turned out to vote for in the Republican primary.
If we have to chose between an up front Democrat, or a hidden Democrat, I'd rather have the real thing.
No open primaries in FL, though people could change party affiliation ahead of time; my guess is that Hillary! will still have to be running, against O’Malley, Warren, and/or whomever, so there won’t be as much cross-party voting as there would be if Hillary! were the only one on the Dem ballot.
George P. Bush/Chelsea Clinton 2024
By the time of the Fl primary Bush and Rubio probably won’t even be in it anymore. This is going to come down to Cruz and Walker IMO.
Wonder how it would have turned out if they had put Romney, McCain and Dole in the mix.
