A North Charleston police officer was arrested on a murder charge and the FBI opened a civil rights investigation Tuesday after video surfaced of the lawman shooting eight times at 50-year-old Walter Scott as he ran away.
Scott died Saturday after Patrolman 1st Class Michael Slager, 33, shot him in the back.

Officer’s life clearly not threatened. No doubt it was murder.
Well, that was murder.
Not patrol car video. Private citizen video. I guess we’ll have to wait to see if the video was edited, and whether any weapons were found on the dead man.

Dead guy had cops taser I believe. A gun beats a taser most times.

Since they have already charged the officer with murder I am going to guess that they did not find any weapons.

Once again, we have video that shows only the outcome of the incident, not the provocation. There was apparently a struggle, officer deployed a taser, guy wrestled the taser away from him, THEN ran away. The left’s paid trolls are already inventing all kinds of additional allegations and busily peddling them, including claims of evidence planting that exists only in their fevered imaginations.
The only issue here is whether the use of force was proportional to the threat, and on first examination, the threat was reduced when the guy started running away, and no justification for using deadly force AT THAT POINT is evident. Which is not to say that one couldn’t emerge upon further investigation.

Great......here we go. The NAACP and local NAN affiliate have been itching for a local scandal going nation wide for a very long time. Now us locals have to put up with the press and other BS that is going to come along with this mess.
Sharpton and friends are going to go nuts on this one.It appears that they would be justified,for once.

Now black people can be justified about their outrage without a peep from us if it appears to be what it is. We don’t side with scum who shoot people in the back when their own life isn’t being threatened. The cop is a real criminal in this situation. I say turn the cop loose in full uniform with badge and no gun in Ferguson.
