This is why the rinoparty will not be getting my vote outside of Cruz, and odds are they won’t let him run anyway. No State, federal, or local polidiots of that party will see my vote.

Thank you for referencing that article NKP_Vet. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Our Constitution-ignoring “leaders” in DC are wrongy ignoring that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay issues like gay marriage.

In fact, Congress is wrongly ignoring that if they want gay issues to be constitutionally protected that the Constitution’s Article V requires them to successfully petition the states to ratify a gay rights amendment to the Constitution. Instead, they are trying to take advantage of low-information citizens by sending “dog & pony show” legal briefs to pro-gay activist justices, wrongly trying establish gay protections outside the framework of the Constitution.

The 17th Amendment needs to disappear.

The difference in values between the over 60 crowd and under 30 crowd are profound.

With the broadest of all brushes, yes. But there is hope, if you know where to look for the under 30s who are not afraid to stand for what is good and true.

They are still here in numbers. Maybe not enough to carry an election one day but they still exist and have not given up doing what's right. I know quite a few of them. Some here on FR.

It is a sorry day when the Russian dictator Putin more strongly supports traditional marriage and family values than the do the majority of the leadership of our nation's so-called conservative party.

Common sense has not lost the cultural war. In over 30 states the vast majority of the voters has voted in a constitutional amendment saying marriage is one man and one women. Liberal Federal judges came right behind them and overuled the will of the people. They only did this AFTER Obama and his sorry ass US Attorney General refused to enforce DOMA, which they should have been impeached for. Both took an oath to enforce the Constitution and both pick and choose what laws they want to enforce. They get by with this lawlessness because the totally inept Republican Party is scared to death they will lose an election if they stand up for Christians and common sense where marriage is concerned. The GOP and democrats have effectively merged. There is not a nickles worth of difference in the parties anymore. Get ready to say Madame President because Hillary Clinton will defeat RINO Jeb Bush in the next presidential election. Only a conservative like Cruz can stop all this madness and it’s not in the cards as long as a RINO is put on the ticket against Clinton.

this dramatic move to the left by the GOP could result in millions of pro-family conservatives deciding to abandon the Republican Party in 2016, a critical election year.

That is the plan.

The GOP is becoming the home of the ‘former Democrat’ moderate Party. The DNC is becoming the Red Diaper Baby Don’t Abide By No Moderation Party.

What do parties even matter with Obama Junior running things with a phone and a pen and a screw-you letter to the Legislative branch?

I am 30, but I would say that the problems that you described aren’t the whole story, there’s plenty of culture going on among the young right now, dictating that certain ideas are cool, I personally avoided a lot of the problems among my generation, such as unwed parenthood, or getting stuck in some stupid cohabitation agreement, and made it along. The only problem is that tons of people in the younger generations are going to be in deep trouble when SRHTF!!!

>>>I am 30, but I would say that the problems that you described aren’t the whole story<<<

My point isn’t to say that every young person is one way. I am glad you have lived a responsible life and you will benefit from not having made foolish choices. But the liberal-conservative split is definitely affected by age. And even more pronounced than that is the abandonment of traditional notions of young people. Such as the belief in God, Jesus Christ as the way to heaven, distinct and separate roles of men and women and in general the belief that the majority opinion equates to right (in a moral right vs. wrong sense).

So when I interact with 20-30 year olds I’m surprised at how many of them see hooking up as normal. How many think men and women are nearly the same. And am dismayed how many reject God: Many even think those who have faith are a problem.

So when I say all is lost, I simply mean the country will get the leaders it deserves and desires. Those of us who believe in small government and want to be free from undue interference from the nanny state are a new permanent minority I fear.
