I just posted this question on my Facebook page.

“The proposal, which shaves more than $300 million from Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan’s $11.5 billion budget, . . . The existing state budget is about $10.7 billion.”

The proposed State of Maine biennal budget is $6.5 billion. Can one of my fiscal friends explain to me why our state budget is about half of New Hampshires who have about the same number of residents?

I will note that the budget increase spending by $500 million, yet the democrats will probably be crying that the house cut $300 million.

exactly

The media will tell you that a $500 million increase is a “cut” the same way they will call a guy in a dress “she” and “her”. Lying is what they do.
