I’m sure he took really good care of his new heart.

When Stokes was first diagnosed, he was initially given less than a year to live without a transplant...

...and, apparently, less than two years AFTER a transplant.

I feel sorry for the relatives of the donor.

Can they take the heart out of that useless good for nothing asshole and give it to someone else?

Um, do you really think the heart was taken care of according to best practices, or that it might have suffered the neglect that the transplant committee originally projected in its denial of the transplant in the first place?

Given this recipient's history and last actions, this particular heart pulling a Len Bias isn't out of the question.

He was young and died from trauma -perfect donor candidate. I wonder if his organs were donated to save other lives.

“The pedestrian was hospitalized for her injuries, and Stokes’s car was nearly split in half by the sign, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.”

Except it wasn’t “Stoke’s car”. He stole it from someone. And now that someone else is going to sue the board which made the decision to give him a transplant because but for their candyassed libtard lack of judgment, their car would not be wrapped around a phone pole.

Nope, no comments section there. I looked for it, too.

But if you go back to Wapo and read the article on the blowback to the social media blowback to the Indiana pizzeria story, THAT contains a positive comments section.

The transplant allowed him to “live a second chance. Get a second chance and do things I want to do,”

[Allegedly] B&E'ing, shooting at an octogenarian female, running over a pedestrian...

I do hope they check the corpse for GPR. Might save the police the trouble of looking for the "real B&E/shooter" perp.

In 2013, then-15-year-old Anthony Stokes was dying and desperately needed a heart transplant that he couldn’t get because, according to doctors, he had “a history of noncompliance.”

t is unclear what exactly caused doctors to change their assessment of Stokes two years ago, but he told WSBTV that he viewed the opportunity as a chance to start over.

The transplant allowed him to “live a second chance. Get a second chance and do things I want to do,” he said.

This is basically lie by the Washington Post.

They know exactly how this thug got approved for a heart transplant.

Al Sharpton and his media buddies, including Washington Post, went on a Treyvon/Mike Brown style media jihad against the hospital, playing the race card to the hilt and threatening lawsuits and social justice riots if thug did not get a heart transplant.

Suitably intimidated, the hospital reversed it's position and moved thug to front of line, ahead of of equally sick patients who had been waiting for years. And forced the Hospital to pay for the operation at not cost to thug.

Kind of like medical affirmative action. aided and abetted at the time by the now clueless and amnesiac Washington Post

Wonder why he needed a new heart in the first place...?

Good question:

"Anthony had no health problems before this summer [2013], Bell said; the heart problem is not congenital. But he started to have trouble sleeping and then complained about his chest hurting. His mother took him to the hospital because of the chest pains."

If no "health problems" [nasal membrane erosion, tooth enamel erosion, burn-scarred fingers, needle tracks...], perhaps he did really pick up some bug that damaged his heart.

“Usually a brush with death and a second chance like this causes one to reflect more deeply on their lives.”

Not true when you are stupid! Plus, this was an easy come easy go transplant. All they had to do was throw down the Race Card, and this POS got to jump the line. Hope they “recycle” the heart he received.
