Send 5 million back to their home country and the water problem is solved.

The drought is a spiritual issue ...like that laid on Israel. Yeah that statement will bring on the detractors...but it is occurring at a time when massive corruption and massive immorality is afflicting that state...along with unprecedented demands upon the government for social spending!

When you see a confluence of troubles, you know that spiritual forces are behind it and so is judgment!

the answer IMO is desalination but that would requires large amounts of energy. Of course they can harness their wind and solar ...

Forget the lush green lawns and gardens ,go with Dune Lawns and Rock Gardens . If they can drink their own sweat and urine on the space station ,then it should be easy for California

To understand how CA got her water in the first place you need to read two books:

John Jakes 1998 California Gold and Marc Reisner's Cadillac Desert. Both great reads; fascinating and enlightening.

The solution to CA's water problem is that large body of water just west of that state....(desalinization.)

I suppose it would be hateful to mention Sodom and Gomorrah.
Far be it from me to be hateful so I won’t bring it up! : )

If Governor Moonbeam was really interested in his legacy, instead of the billions of dollars he’s wasting on his bullet train to nowhere that nobody wants, he would spend that money on fast-tracking desalination plants. Then he could also feel good about combating the “rising seas” due to global warming.
