Sen. Chris Murphy: Hillary Clinton’s strength ‘clearly’ foreign policy
New Haven Register ^ | April 1, 1015 | Mary O'Leary

“The world is a mess, and while there is no simple pill America can administer to fix things, what we know is that there is significant room for progressives to articulate a foreign policy vision that is truly our own,” Murphy wrote in his op-ed article.

A practical outcome, he wrote, could be the transfer of some resources now devoted to military expenditures, to diplomatic and foreign aid “so that our global anti-poverty budget, not our military budget, equals that of the other world powers combined.”

...

Murphy said Clinton’s “strength is clearly going to be her experience on foreign policy. That’s a great asset. I’m confident that she, more than anyone else, understands the lessons from the mistakes we made in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past 15 years.”

Murphy said it was Clinton who created the idea of “smart power, which combines traditional military power with other tools, primarily economic and diplomatic, for influencing international events.”

The senator said he has been pushing his colleagues to understand the limits of military power and to boost the other tools at hand in foreign relations.

“I’m confident that Hillary Clinton, if she runs, understands that combination of hard power and soft power,” he said.

Murphy said Clinton’s “strength is clearly going to be her experience on foreign policy.

In other words, her domestic policy will be even worse than her foreign policy.

That'll be enough to get the idiots to vote for her.

Blow-by-Blow: How Obama & Hillary Left Americans to Die

"Nordstrom further testified in writing that Hillary Clinton waived security requirements for the Benghazi consulate despite high and critical threat levels in the six categories of security standards established under the Overseas Security Policy Board and the Secure Embassy Construction and Counterterrorism Act of 1999. The waiver can only be authorized by the Secretary of State, who cannot delegate that responsibility to someone else. ”If the Secretary of State did not waive these requirements, who did so by ordering occupancy of the facilities in Benghazi and Tripoli?” Nordstrom wrote."

"Hillary Clinton’s strength ‘clearly’ foreign policy"

ROFLMAO. If that's her strength, I'd hate to know her weaknesses.

Yep...love the way she handled Benghazi, Whitewater, private emails, Ron Brown, Vince Foster. Yep, after having a President who has no history...at least none that we are allowed to see, let's dig in for one who we know all too well.

I apologize for the lack of barf-alert on this. I assumed everybody knows this senator’s usual angle. I should not repeat the oversight if I manage to stomach passing on any more of his public utterances.
