With the American electorate shifting solidly in favor of climate action over the last few years, Republican presidential candidates have a tough decision to make: Keep chasing donations from the fossil fuel industry, or follow where the science leads and form an authentically conservative plan for addressing the increasingly pressing problem of global warming.

Unfortunately for the planet, it’s not looking pretty. Here’s what the leading 2016 Republican presidential hopefuls have to say about climate change:

Maybe with enough liquor....enough weed....and enough MSNBC journalists talking him up...maybe I could get whacked up enough to vote for the guy. But man, that’d take a lot of liquor, if you ask me.

I hope so. He could split the liberal crossover votes with Jeb Bush and improve our chances of the republican party nominating a republican.

Were? Not one poll as shown this to be a top concern amongst the electorate.

That first sentence amplifies the divide between the political, academia, and media class verses the general public. Those first three live in a very tight bubble
