The best way to encourage innovation is to get gummint out ofthe way. The worst way is to set arbitrary standards for consumption of something. You don’t see gummit standards forcing people to buy new smartphones, do you?
I’ve heard Oregon has the potential to a decent functional state if they could carve out a hippie enclave which includes all of Portland and Eugene and lease it to China . . .
Just pull up to the state line and drop the load. No transiting OR. They’ll adapt eventually to having to drive to the state line to pick up their stuff.

Can someone explain how “biofuel” can have less “carbon intensity” per BTU than fossil fuels”? Do they not count the carbon in “renewable” fuel?
Seems to me that “Donated” plant food (CO2 from fossil fuel) is more valuable than cannibalistic plant food (CO2 from “biofuels”).
